Could be one of 3 formations…can switch mid game. It’s a better team than we put out in the home game, for sure. And crucially options off the bench.

Hmm. I suspect it's a 5 with Sadlier LWB. But I really hope not. Think we'll get battered if so. No way Aimson can play through a press and no presence up top when he eventually hoiks it.

If it's a 4 I don't mind it at all, could basically be a 442 out of possession and 4231 in. In that case I think we'll just get normally beat. Hooray.

Though seriously, I'd give us a fighting chance then. All the pressure on them for once in one of these games.

The only one the formation suits as a back 3 is Johnston…possibly santos. It’s a far more sensible back 4…but I can’t call Evatt. We’ll see.

As he’s put Kachunga in does that suggest a 4? Or is it just a case of leaving internationals out for fresher legs?

Don't think Kacha points one way or the other.

Could be a 343 with him right and Dapo left,

Could be a 4231 with one of him or Sadlier at 10 and the other right.

Or, most likely IMO it's a 352 with him at 10 and Dapo up top (or vice versa).

I can only hope it's not Sadlier at left-wing-back.

Is Dempsey unfit?

My entire hopes for this game rest on Kieran Sadlier walking out of the tunnel and standing on our right-hand side.

I'm still upset about the home game. Can't see anything from this. Would love to be wrong but that team fills me with dread.

Early goal for Wigan, worst possible start as usual

This system has relied on the wingbacks performing well. Neither of our first choice wingbacks are fit and we've had to reorganise the back three and put a winger out wide as a result.

Then we've put a lad who is only just back fit up front, after the boss spent months telling us we can't just push players back into the side. That's presumably down to the other options playing international football, but unless Dempsey is carrying a knock I find it an odd one.

There should still be enough in the side to cause Wigan a few issues, but I think we were always looking at the uphill one here and it'll be a real test of character - especially now they've scored early. Even at our full strength they were better than us on paper.

This is a repeat of our start in the home fixture so far.

The wingbacks are a concern but I don't get the impression that Kachunga has been rushed back. It's been a fair few weeks since he's been available.

Can't see this match going well, need to get a goal here to put Wigan on tilt.

Magennis kicking the ball away in frustration. I know there were a few players from that Parky era that didn't enamour themselves with the club but I think Magennis was one of the worst. Plenty of ability but lazy.

Disgusting refereeing. Completely bottled the sending off there, definitely a yellow card.

We've been terrible but what even is the point? One person in the ground didn't think McClean was walking then. It's every week and they're pathetic. Bottle jobs. Should just a sub from each team to ref one half each. Pathetic.

The manager has got it wrong and we deserve to be losing. Aimson having a hall of famer.

But Jesus.
