High Noon in Wigan. Away at the Piedrome.,Sat,-2-04-22. 12-30 kick-off.

Where fellow sufferers gather to share the pain, longing and unrequited transfer requests that make being a Wanderer what it is...

What a boring game this has ended up. For a local derby its really falling flat this second half.
I think that's to our advantage, to be fair.
Don't think its to anyones advantage. Think its just nullified the game.

Compare the first twenty minutes to now. In both fixtures they started fast and we crumpled under the pressure.
Haven't seen the first 20, was driving, didn't sound good though.

Would like to see our game management improved so we start earlier. Seems like we're vey good at the end of the match but poor early on.

We've scored more late goals than any other club this season. There's a sense we could score another here.

Dad-bod and Baka late one maybe. Hear we haven't had one shot on target yet though. What has happened to Charles of late ?

A superb header. A great delivery in from Aimson too. I never doubted him. :D

Called it.

Does that magic 8 ball that you've got tell of a Bolton winner by any chance?

Dad Bod....well done that man. We're miles off where we want to be and we're still 1-1 against the best side in the division. No need for "we need to rip it up and start again" panicfanny stuff.

Not sure. He's lost that unbelievable drive that made him look the kind of player who could drag us through games. I could say "confidence player", but that always feels like a cop out. So "not sure" covers it.

Just got in to find we've equalised. How have we been generally?

First half very poor; second half the better team, if not necessarily creating gilt-edged opportunities.

"Ghost is weird and really not helpful" may have to be my new tagline.

McClean down injured with less than 20 seconds to go. Just get him off to the side of the pitch and wrap the game up.

Would've been interesting to see how we would've fared against 10 men. Refereeing letting us down consistently over the course of the season. Result seems about right. Nice to do Rotherham a favour.

Who actually scored Wigan's goal?

Didn't look like Magennis got a head to it but he's ran off celebrating like hes scored.

This Ghost. Few expected us to win, but all else pales besides a result, however achieved. Well done Whites. :oyea:

Edit? Oh, and away at the Piedrome to boot! I know which manager will be best pleased.
Do wish Evatt would tone down the "brave music of distant drums" bit though and just take things as they come.
