Great. Thanks, DSB. Despite his young age, he made 42 appearances (scored eight) for the Dons last season; as far as I can tell, most of them were starts.
38 of them were starts; he was subbed off in 16; played the full game in 22.

https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/ayoub-a ... s/1#gesamt

Seems to have frequent little purple patches of assists/goals over 2/3/4 games, but given how awful their season was – they didn't win after Dec 7 – it's notable to have any purple at all.

Looks like he can play across the 3 of the 4231 but all his goals bar one header (!) were right-footed, as were both his active assists (he won two penalties, including against us at theirs).

Also got 11 yellow cards, which is the sort of total normally associated with a defensive midfielder. Only a dozen players in the division got more (one of them being Josh Vela, another being Ross Sykes, the Accy defender mentioned on here as a possible).

If anyone fancies getting to know him better he played against us in the 3-3 draw this season, which is on ifollow. You would have to put up with Sarcevic, though.

Gary Cahill released by Bournemouth. Getting on a bit now, but would he be worth a punt?

Well, at least we'd start scoring from set-pieces again.

Yes please. The ideal partner for Santos in a 4. Not sure about in a 3 but reckon he could hold his own there even at this level.

If Mbappe plays on for 10 years then his PSG package (pay, rights and bonuses) will come to around a billion quid.

I feel like we may not win the Champions League in the next 10 years unless FV can secure improved sponsorship from Carrs.

There would have been strong objections if I had, given my mitigation of the possible Carrs Pasties sponsorship deal.

Former Barrow centre back Matt Platt mentioned on here as a rumour has signed for Bradford on a two year deal.

Nixon was yesterday asked by a Bolton fan on Twitter whether Rangers are still chasing Dapo, and he said they were. Perhaps the forum scouting collective need to start considering replacements?

Makes way more sense than us getting him.

Sadlier :D

Nixon also said that Dapo is a potential replacement for Ryan Kent, so let’s hope he stays

Sadlier scored ten across league and cup last season for us and Rotherham…and wasn’t a certain starter. You would back him to match Dapos tally.

Yeah I was actually thinking Sadlier would be a decent enough replacement. If we go that route I'd hope we invest some of the transfer fee into one or multiple younger players who might be the 'next Dapo'.

Obviously obviously I'd prefer to keep Dapo, and I think he offers slightly more than Sads in terms of attracting oppos and winning FKs. I'd rather have both, but if Dapo goes Sads is the simplest replacement IMO - although this Wombles lad Assal seems to score a lot on his right after cutting in from the left...

It’s win win this. If he stays we crack on. If he goes we have money to strengthen in a couple of places and have Sadlier ready to step up already.

Absolutely nowt to worry about either way.
