That's a truly unfortunate surname. Good luck to him.

Re: Deal or no deal? - Summer 2022 Transfer gossip!
We've picked up Gerald Sithole (read it again) for the B team. Formerly of Gillingham, but was released for not being up to standard after they went down. 19, bit of pace, plenty of graft, but (as you'd expect for a lad deemed not good enough for Gills) no obvious stand-out attributes.
I quite like him. No idea if there's a league player in there as I've not seen him enough, but there's a touch of the Dion Charles about his attitude. He played against Oxford when I was keeping an eye on Dempsey and Tucker and, although he didn't play particularly well (got the hook after an hour) his attitude was solid and there was *something* there.
We're probably not expecting a huge amount from him, but he'll be fun to keep an eye on. Gillingham last season was no place at all for a young kid trying to make his way.
*edit* I see I'm late to the party.

My wife was at school with a girl called "Shithead" - pronounced Sheeth-ay-ed - so I suppose he's getting off easy.Bruce Rioja wrote: ↑Fri Jun 24, 2022 3:38 pmThink I'd have been off down the deed poll office before now

Schoolkids without a doubt. Fourteen was horror age at one time; now it's nine onwards.Bruce Rioja wrote: ↑Fri Jun 24, 2022 4:21 pm

Rooney leaves Derby.
Makes us more likely to get Barky, and IMO makes Derby less likely to go up.

That's a strange one as that guy who just bought the stadium is submitting a bid for the club as well.

Rooney has walked away from Derby. That should free a couple up if we are still interested.

Or is it a looser "couple", as in "some"?
While I wish Derby no ill, their stasis has been holding up the market down at our end... they had some apparently good financial news today, so we may soon see whether it was the club, the manager or the money attracting players...

I suspect Derby will be looking for a "marquee" manager, but Evatt will linked at some point!

Rooney is a dodgy bloke. Heavily tied into the dodgy Kirchner bid. Dodgy. And not very bright. Or nice.

Dom Telford, previously identified on here as a potential target, has signed for Crypto-funded Crawley Town.
