Short answer, no.brommers95 wrote: ↑Thu May 05, 2022 4:27 pmI’d take Camps - good L1 player at a good age - but do we really need him? Does he really elevate our midfield options. Not sure
Decent player who'd have done more with Fleetwood if used properly and he hadn't nearly died, but I don't see him as a player I'd want in the Championship.
I think there are better free transfers, or players I expect to be free transfers shortly. There are definitely better players if we fork out a bit of cash.
If Camps was already here I'd be happy to keep him, but I'd not sign him.

Yes. He'd be chaired-in, shoulder high, through a tickertape parade, to a musical accompaniment provided by the U.S. Marine Drum and Bugle Corps.

Re: Deal or no deal? - Summer 2022 Transfer gossip!
As Brommers noted, Crewe left their star man (Tom Lowery) off the retained list and he's out of contract. Very much expected to leave.
Insane would love him (cry), he's about 7'2" (5'6") and rangy (legs like a munchkin cat).
Very clean on the ball. Viewers may remember him from the other week at Crewe where he was megged by Bod, shown to the shops by Charles and finally left face down in the sand by Sadlier.
He is, however, much more capable than the first half against us might have suggested. For a human who I'm convinced is three mice in a trench coat he's a very good young prospect.

What price Scott Twine this summer? Big dent in MKs playoff chances tonight. He’ll want to play for a proper club, surely?

As much as it would be one hell of a story, I think that ship has long since sailed. Young Will was part of our youth set-up for many a year before being released (IIRC his small stature was a contributing factor) and he's hardly been ripping up trees at this season's L1 whipping boys, having been ousted from the starting 11 fairly early on.TANGODANCER wrote: ↑Thu May 05, 2022 7:58 pmThat would be something, Jussi junior to come good and be a hero at Bolton....Dave Sutton's barnet wrote: ↑Thu May 05, 2022 7:11 pmCouple more clubs' released/retained lists.

It would be a fairy tale to have him back if he was even half as good as his dad. But he ain't, unfortunately.

Despite his small stature, think we decided we only need one youth team keeper and kept on Just William instead of one Aaron Ramsdale, who we let go for being too small (for purely footballing reasons, I'm sure). Guess you'd look at his dad and think he might grow.truewhite15 wrote: ↑Thu May 05, 2022 10:22 pmAs much as it would be one hell of a story, I think that ship has long since sailed. A few names for the right side of defence:
Was rushing to get this out before I go on holiday so not loads of names or in-depth analysis. Personally I’d love to see Kioso back here, but I think Fossey on a permanent is pretty much nailed on (not that I’d complain about it, just hope he can stay healthy).
Kaine Kesler Hayden on a loan could be another option but he’s probably earned himself a Championship loan next season.

Okay, hear me out here Brommers......Fossey.....right....AND Kane Wilson.
Don't look at me like that.
My view of our further tactical evolution is that we may eventually start to see a Cancelo-style in-out wing back on the left side, to compliment Dapo's desire to cut out to the left when he's a #10 and allow us to rotate those passing triads in midfield. Wilson is one of the few players in the EFL who has the skill set to play that role.
It would mean you'd have two top class options on the right, two very good but different options on the left and they'd all be able to play 30+ games per season to keep them happy.
I think they're all, once again, good shouts. In terms of less Fantasy Football options than my (frankly brilliant) Wilson AND Fossey suggestion, Kyle Knoyle splits Dapo and Sadlier in age and will know both of them from West Ham. I don't view him as dynamic enough to be our first choice RWB, but as a player to push Jones for his role it'd make some sense. I think my issue with him would be that I think Jones is a better player, so in terms of "elite for the level and role" signings I think Fossey, Wilson and Kioso are your men.

That 'Agent McGee' character seems to be implying Fossey is signing.

He's likely to be right eventually on that one. Just needs to be fit enough to do his medical at this stage, unless things have changed markedly.

Oh, I meant the report of the signing was wild assed as in "who could possibly guess". I've already concluded that the signing itself is not without riskGhostoftheBok wrote: ↑Fri May 06, 2022 11:21 amHe's likely to be right eventually on that one. Re: Deal or no deal? - Summer 2022 Transfer gossip!
Oxford have announced the release of four players - Sam Winnall and Jamie Hanson plus youngsters Leon Chambers-Parillon and Michael Elechi.
Not a full announcement as talks are still ongoing. Tall centre-back Elliott Moore has been mentioned in these quarters but the club is thought to have an extension option which they'd be daft not to trigger.

Ah it’s silly season again. I’d imagine most players and back room staff are on holiday right about now….

If we picked up Elliott Moore (for a fee) I'd be bloody amazed. Delighted, but amazed. Could well play Premier League football at some stage in his career with the progress he's making with regular football.Dave Sutton's barnet wrote: ↑Fri May 06, 2022 11:38 amTall centre-back Elliott Moore has been mentioned in these quarters but the club is thought to have an extension option which they'd be daft not to trigger.
He's the level of player we need to be targeting, though.

Ipswich confirm the release of James Norwood, Tom Carroll, Tomas Holy and Myles Kenlock. Kayden Jackson and the Ghost-admired Tyreece Simpson are also out of contract this summer but have not had their futures confirmed by the club.

Most deals will have been being worked on for months and still will be now. The recruitment teams will be busier now than any other stage in the season. Players who expect a move will plan accordingly regarding going away etc.BWFC_Insane wrote: ↑Fri May 06, 2022 11:41 amAh it’s silly season again.
