Looks like a 4-2-3-1 to me.

Brilliant defensive sliding tackle by Aimson on roughly the 20 min mark.

How are we doing for the Kieran Sadlier every position bingo?

I've got him down for playing RW today with him previously playing CM, LB, LW. Versatile.

I thought we started well and have trailed off. Do you wait till we're playing badly?

Oxford currently 3-0 up after 16 minutes, late push for the playoffs.

Another harsh yellow for Thomason. Ref putting a marker down on this match for looking likely to send one of our players off.

Now that is a yellow for Bakayoko. Late challenge, definite yellow.

Baka a very lucky boy there that was an absolutely stupid challenge.

Looking at the lineup on Livescore, they have Sadlier down as right wing in a 4-2-3-1.

Lad should change his name to Paul Young.
And similarly, I see that Donny have a player named Adam Clayton. I wonder if he's perfectly metronomic whilst insufferabley unadventurous?
May the bridges I burn light your way

No idea what this shape is. Back 4 on the ball but with a front 2 and Tomo tucked in. Back 5 off it with Sadlier looking lost going the other way.

We started brightly but been poor since.

Sadlier for me looking like he's definitely playing RW. Don't think we've found a good position for Sadlier yet. He seems competent in a few positions but nothing really where he's stood out as that's his position for definite. I'd be leaning towards a 4-2-3-1 as Baka seems up top on his own with Dad Bod putting in a fair bit of distance, that being said we've not really got anyone wide left whereas Sadlier is definitely wide right.

Lovely play by Dad Bod again teeing up Baka who just misses.

Looks like we're upping the tempo late in the half.

He is on the ball. But when we lose it Jones narrows and is dragging him back. And Thommo comes in to CM From set pieces etc his starting position is way deeper than a RW.

Might be some sort of pendulum given that Jones and John can get forward whilst Sadlier can get back and make up part of the back 4 as a RB

Either way the tactic doesn't seem symmetrical.

0-0 at HT.

I'd be looking to take Sadlier off. He seems a steady and competent player but I think we're just missing someone who can surprise us, maybe Amaechi.

Or good.

These are dreadful, and out-playing us.

Unnecessarily complicating things. We look much the better side when we just do simple things.

Not won on Good Friday since 1963...not looking overly likely to break that record...

On the formation - Chelsea played an interesting hybrid one at the Bernabeu: more of a back three when attacking, more of a back four when defending (see link below). Possible we're doing something similar, or at least trying to. Or possible the players are just playing with fluidity. Or possible nobody knows what they're doing.

Elsewhere; Wycombe beating Plymouth 2-0, which would put them sixth on 76 points with three games left. Pity for them that Sheff Wed, who would be three points behind, have two games in hand. Some chase, this. Will next season's pace be as hot?

I quite like the approach on these tactics. The back 5 into 4 when attacking and 4 into 3 seems nice with some flexibility on attacking whilst keeping shape, it means that theres flexibility for any of the back to attack whilst retaining somewhat of a shape.

And Wimbledon winning at Crewe. So what? Well, Wimbledon haven't won since December 7th, 24 league games ago.

It’s outstanding forward play from Bodvarrson there. For me he’s been our pick today. Looked a class above. Baka does what he does.
