Never going back again? Sat 30th April 12:30pm KO Fleetwood (H)
1-0 down, 2-1 up then conceded two goals in a minute to lose 3-2. Would have been very odd not having a last game with something riding on it.
Will we relegate them, or are we the perfect fodder for a team needing a result? They need to match gillinghams result…who are at home to Rotherham who could still finish top, second or third.
Going to be an interesting day!

We beat Fleetwood, but Gills lose and go down anyway - I think that's mostly likely.
However, if we lose then the dream is Gills win and Morecambe go down.

The weird little quadruple of Bolton, Gillingham, Fleetwood and Kyle Dempsey strikes again.
A coincidence. Or is it?

Not that bothered about Fleetwood and would probably rather visit there next season than Morecambe, or Gillingham - However, it'd be nice to lord it over a set of fans after relegating them. Been a while!

This. Plus Gillingham is handy for me. My only regret is we can't send Morcambe down on the final day.

I'm genuinely excited for this one. I know we've not got anything to play for, but it still feels like a meaningful game. Lancs derby, they'll be going for it to avoid the drop, we've got lads who want to prove they should be stating next season I'm hoping it'll be gangbusters.

I fancy a 'couple' of end-of-season pints tomorrow, but with it being a 12:30 kick off I guess it just means that I'll end up getting moaned at earlier, and for longer.

I've always found Burnden Paddock and Lever End exceptional company.........Bruce Rioja wrote: ↑Fri Apr 29, 2022 7:34 amI fancy a 'couple' of end-of-season pints tomorrow, but with it being a 12:30 kick off I guess it just means that I'll end up getting moaned at earlier, and for longer.

I'm still recovering from an end of season "couple" at Fulham a few years ago. Met Pru & Enoch in the Eight Bells at 11am .... you can guess the rest.

I soooo miss Fulham away and the Eight Bells. A couple of years ago, and being as we were in the parish anyway, LeverEnd and I tried to get in but were refused entry. Fulham were hosting Preston on the day and we were asked by the chap on the door if we were from Preston? Rather than just saying "yes", we gave the honest answer and told him that we're 'neutrals' from Bolton (after all, Craven Cottage actually has a neutrals section) and that was the end of that.TonyDomingos wrote: ↑Fri Apr 29, 2022 8:32 amBruce Rioja wrote: ↑Fri Apr 29, 2022 7:34 amI fancy a 'couple' of end-of-season pints tomorrow, but with it being a 12:30 kick off I guess it just means that I'll end up getting moaned at earlier, and for longer.

We ended up haemorrhaging funds in a nearby 'Spoons' instead.

I must confess to having had similar thoughts myself.

When I dropped the notion into conversation earlier, Morag responded with "Och, so I suppose I'll see you on Sunday then".Burnden Paddock wrote: ↑Fri Apr 29, 2022 1:37 pmGary the Enfield wrote: ↑Fri Apr 29, 2022 8:26 amI've always found Burnden Paddock and Lever End exceptional company.........Bruce Rioja wrote: ↑Fri Apr 29, 2022 7:34 amI fancy a 'couple' of end-of-season pints tomorrow, but with it being a 12:30 kick off I guess it just means that I'll end up getting moaned at earlier, and for longer.

Judging by current weather, you won't be needing your Macs for the Fleetwood invasion. It's just Little Lies that there's an Albatross in Bolton Museum.
