Lee v Sunderland and Morley v Gillingham. A lot of decent goals and some nice football, Dapo's not the least.

Dapo at Ipswich represents our best swashbuckling football that we played this season. Early doors on the break we were irresistible at times.
Lee against Sunderland also up there for me. What a move.
Can’t decide between those two.

I always think that there should be two categories; Team Goal and Individual Finish/Goal

For team goals the 2nd & 3rd goals against Sunderland were every bit as good as the nominated 4th goal by sexy Keiran.
Personal favourite is Dapo's at Ipswich. My erm, over enthusiastic celebration of that one brought me to the attention of the Ipswich stewards

And there is another category, favourite goal you have celebrated. I loved Baps equaliser v MK Dons - first game back in a ground post Covid last minute equaliser in a game where the lead changed hands twice. Decent!

Yeah - that was a grand one. But the 6th against Sunderland was pretty sweet too!officer_dibble wrote: ↑Thu Apr 28, 2022 4:55 pmAnd there is another category, favourite goal you have celebrated. The sixth against anyone would be sweet (unless they've scored seven).

Re: Goal of the season 21/22
There are three I keep returning to:
1. Charles' first goal - the last minute thunderbolt
2. Doyle's opener against Stockport County (Dapo's gorgeous through ball, Isgrove's first-time cross into the six-yard box)
3. The late, late equaliser away at Morecambe
But the pleasing truth is there are many other worthy contenders. I enjoyed immensely the equaliser at the death when Sheffield Wednesday thought they had it won.

The time wasting from Sheffield Wednesday as well made that goal all the sweeter.nicholaldo wrote: ↑Sat Apr 30, 2022 5:02 pmThere are three I keep returning to:

Maybe Charles' goal today would've made that goal of the season list. It has a lot going for it. Work rate to get the ball back, element of luck and of course a worldie. Don't think we'll see that again.

Today's one was great because it summed up Charles as a player. Scrappy, hard working, earns the luck he gets and can leave you speechless.
He needed to show something before the end of the season after his bad run and I think he more than managed that.

Re: Goal of the season 21/22
I was praying that he'd be on the end of Saddlier's absolute beauty of a cross into the middle of the 6 yard box late on to score his third. Sadly, that's just not either his nor our wayGhostoftheBok wrote: ↑Sat Apr 30, 2022 6:01 pmToday's one was great because it summed up Charles as a player. Today Charles absolutely thumbed the noses of any doubters. Superb.

Best goal from an opposition player by some distance today. Belter.

It really was. Great spatial awareness to get Johnston out of the way and then perfect technique to chip curl it into the far corner.
He's only twenty-years-old too.

I’ve watched it again - I thought the finish was easier than it was, just assumed he opened his body and curled it in, but it’s a bloody chip as well! David Suker job!

If it's not Fleetwood's goal of the season they've done well.officer_dibble wrote: ↑Sat Apr 30, 2022 8:48 pmI’ve watched it again - I thought the finish was easier than it was, just assumed he opened his body and curled it in, but it’s a bloody chip as well! David Suker job!
