On this day, in 1999, Bolton missed out on promotion to the Premier League by losing 2-0 to Watford in the Division One play-off final at Wembley Stadium.

The most lacklustre performance given by any Bolton side I've ever seen.

What a thoroughly dreadful day out that was.

Not exactly cracking on with our business at a pace are we?

I get we don’t need that many signings but if they are meant to be in for pre season that’s three weeks away give or take…

I'd love to hear that Gary James Cahill and Marlon Fossey had signed up. Knowing they may not is the pessimistic bit.
