I am a little less worried about us attacking. We played 19 games after Sunderland and scored 2 or more in 10 of them. 6 were in the 11 whilst Flossey was still walking, 4 were in the 8 after that point - I don't generally mind us scoring 4 with no pace or dynamism :-)

Yeah but I’m running on the basis that the other teams are better this time round….I suspect they are…so we need to be better to tread water and even better to advance….

4 nil defeat. Bradley to make the worst debut since Dean Moxey at Watford.

(But not THAT bad... there are limits, even on a dedicated pessimism thread)

He'll be gone by September if it's 4-0.

No he won't.

Sharon will be keen to show loyalty and he'll cling on until Xmas as we're rooted well adrift at the bottom. Gary Megson brought in on Xmas day to save us but unable to do so even after getting BWFCi and Ghost into the dressing room to talk to the players after we lose 3-0 at Forest Green.

(Get with the programme).

Was gonna say. This thread's all about posting up unfounded cataclysmic disasters, but you're really edging on abusing the privilege here, Pal.

even after getting BWFCi and Ghost into the dressing room to talk to the players after we lose 3-0 at Forest Green.
Ghost: "Looks, lads, we've only got 15 minutes, but I've prepared a two hour lecture on pressing triggers - so let's get through as much as we can before...."
BWFCi: "You're all fecking soft as shit!"
Ghost: "...yeah, so when the ball enters zone 3..."
BWFCi: "Have you heard of running, you soft bastards!?"
Ghost: "Er, where was I? Yeah, zone 3 is when..."
BWFCi: "How about a fecking tackle, somebody!? And John, you need to be a foot fecking taller you little shit."
Ghost: "...so then you want to arc your run and...."
BWFCi: "I hate you all."

Nah I don’t manage by bullying or shouting at people.

Managing people is about enthusing them not screaming at them. Cajoule and enthuse is what I believe in.

My half time would be all about intensity, not taking too many touches and resisting the urge to go backwards. Play the game in their half and try and do it on two touch at most basis before moving the ball on. Guard your own goal with an intensity that it’s your last chance to keep a clean sheet.

I don't do two hour powerpoint presentations on pressing dynamics, but sometimes it's fun to lean into the personas.

An hour and half, max.
