Of all the people who need a full pre season! Wonder if all Lee jrs where born in July? 😁
Evatt is keen to stress that Lee is training with the B team. He'll probably get some paternity leeway - others have during the season - but he's also savvy enough to know he needs to keep on top of his fitness.

From daddy to Dadi, it's interesting to hear Bod say it's the first time in his career he's had a full summer off and a full pre-season. If it sharpens him up still further, we could have some player there. Remember he scored 5 goals as sub, same as Baka and more than anyone else in the division. Over all league appearances both got 0.6 goals per 90 minutes last season, which is Will Keane / Ross Stewart territory. Full prep might make them even more chef's kiss.

My Saturday league team play their home games at Watford's training ground. And there's a right of way through it...

I would be far more interested in this if I weren't on holiday. Although I do fly back into Heathrow that day, so if the timing's right I might look out the window.

Anyone going this evening? Would be good to read first-hand accounts of if the new boys can do it on rainy Tuesday night in Longridge.

Probably because MJ is injured.

Looking at the team sheets tonight only reinforces we are still light in midfield. If we want to go up we need at least one more in there. One injury at it looks light.

As do both wing back positions.

That photo would suggest some of the squad is missing from tonights match. I'm not there, what makes you think that'll be second half?

Ilesy's live blog laid out a 2nd half team.

It has been noted that neither team contains Darcy. Darcy leaver...

Quality perhaps, but if Sheehan isn't far away not numbers *if* this is the shape. 6 without including Tommo (or Darcy...) for 3 spots.

Take MJ out and we have no physical presence. Take Dempsey out and we are ridiculously lightweight in there. Tutte isn’t registered as a player.

Thomason bless him isn’t a player you want to rely on for a team going for promotion out of league one.

Your midfield options are Lee and Morley and Sheehan who won’t be fit for the start.

Midfield and wing backs are the players with biggest running load. Most likely to miss games or need rest. We are light in both areas in my view.
