What’s everyone’s team for Ipswich (I’d guess it might be the one that starts tomorrow)?

Trafford
Jones
Santos
Johnston
Bradley
John
MJ
Lee
Morley (I’m guessing Dempsey is on the naughty step)
Charles
JDB

Dapo on the bench.

'Maybe' Iredale in ahead of John, but not too fussed either way. Looks like a side to me though.
May the bridges I burn light your way

Dapo is the tough one. I can’t get over my view that Charles and JDB should start up top, and he isn’t as effective just in behind. Could see him in for Lee in that side.

I could to, but he's no sexy Kieran (or at least wasn't last year IMO) - I still think we're missing a 10 (other than Lee)

Not to quieten today's conversation, but I think we may have a better idea of the Ipswich XI after we've played Huddersfield. It's certainly hard-fought.

But right now... at Ipswich I would be tempted to start fairly solid and have weaponry coming off the bench. Whoever starts, we should have gamechanging options.

If for argument's sake we accept Dibble's XI -

Trafford; Jones, Santos, Johnston; Bradley, MJ, Morley, Lee, John; Charles, Bod

- then we have Baka, Dapo, Kacha, Sadlier, Dempsey, Thomo and Iredale; soon they will be joined by Sheehan and then Isgrove. With Iredale on the bench we may not need Aimson or Toal, and then there's Dixon...

For all our worry about lacking marquee signings, it's not a shallow squad. There'll be good players sat in the stands every game.

50/50 Iredale Johnstone and will be two of Charles/Dapo/Lee for me.

Agree with worthy we don't have another natural 10 than Lee, but that was often sort of DadBod or one of the other "2" forwards in our wonky 352/442.

Week after we play at Ipswich we host Wycombe, and I'd expect Iredale in for Johnstone that day.

Got couple Hudds mates, hope we stuff 'em.
Went to last few league away games vs them - they weren't great matches tbf (dire springs to mind), though we did get a late winner in one iirc.
Anyhow, COUWM

Huddersfield's YouTube channel. Hopefully you don't have to subscribe to the channel, but if you do, you can always unsubscribe tonight.

Supporters will have the opportunity to watch Danny Schofield’s Terriers in action against the Sky Bet League One side as the game will be streamed FOR FREE live on YouTube.

The game will kick-off at the University of Bolton Stadium at 3pm.

Our production will be a one-camera broadcast live from Bolton, with commentary provided by the Club.

This is different to the streaming service that can be provided when games during the 2022/23 season are streamed on iFollow HTAFC, which is a four-camera mix, like the one during streams last season.
Worth noting that Huddersfield are also simultaneously playing at Tranmere. Hmm.

Strong team - Dempsey on bench - but no Bod?

welp, have heard of this triangular football thing but that's quite the stretch.

So it's arguably the team I'd say (pending learnings today) should start at Ipswich:

Traf;
Geth, Rico, Johnston;
Bradley, Morley, MJ, John;
Lee;
Dapo, Charles.

I'd say that's a solid starting XI with the option to 'gear up' if need be - eg sub MJ for a striker, moving Dapo back to 10 and Lee into midfield. Baka, Sads, Demps, Kacha all possible gamechangers; Thomo, Iredale, Aimson, Dixon on the bench if need be.

Note we have one more sub than we're allowed at Ipswich - it'll be mildly diverting to see if Evatt prioritises giving minutes to subs or getting this first XI more experience of lasting 90 minutes. Only three outfielders (Aimson, Santos, John) played 90 at Carlisle, and three at Watford (Santos, Johnston, WIlliams).

It's a decent team, no doubt. Only questionable is Dad's absence (Odd-Bod:).
Do we know how far Sheehan's off yet?

Back in full training but clearly not rushed or risked – and that's reasonable, given we've no shortage of midfielders.

ah, good. Unsubscribed. Well, it was a brief dalliance at best... Am still grateful to their young left back who had a couple of great games for us (& scored a vital goal too) couple seasons back.
