I can't ever seem to post links to Twitter on here, but there's a Tweet on there with a slow-motion replay of Trafford's late save.

The angle is from behind the goal and it really does highlight just how magnificent it was.

Great save. Seen the red now as well. Hope the ref catches a bad dose of the aids.

I’m furious with Santos for allowing a terrible ref to send him off. And everyone could see it coming.

But put that aside. There is no way you can referee that game like that without a serious agenda. He needs investigating. He obviously was trying to ensure we lost. There is no other explanation for it. Incompetence doesn’t cover what he did today.

That decision is also a shocking decision.

He’ll no doubt support Tranmere or summat.

The highlights are on skysports website. Never in a million years is that a yellow card. How many free kicks have been given to us in that area for climbing/holding that result in a yellow card?

I doubt fecking many let alone in the 37th minute. I hear Evatt said the 4th official called it?

If so then the ref needs to have a word with himself as he was closer to the action than someone on the sideline.

That’s ref has gone down the two yellow route cos he knows it can’t be appealed. Got you this time! What a cock.

4th official gave second yellow according to Evatt.

That is true, but the 4th official (along with linos) can only suggest. It’s the ref’s decision.

It’s seemingly a bit unclear what happened. I thought 4th official could only make a decision where ref has not seen something….

Don’t think they can offer advice otherwise. But exactly what has gone on here isn’t clear.

The second yellow watching again on sky is just asking for one if you put your hands on the striker there one as awful and cynical as Harrison will fall over and force a decision.

I’d like to see the Bod penalty appeal again. Looked nailed on to me in real time.

I thought the Bod one was a foul but the type weak referees don't give when it occurs in the penalty area. I was hoping he might have cojones to give it or feel like he should even things up but sadly not.

Fantastic play-acting by Harrison. He should be in films. That was a free kick, never a card job.

If it’s a foul it’s a yellow card. It was probably not a foul but Santos have the ref a chance by initially having his arms on the striker.

Why so keen to down Santos? It's football and our lads got bullied a lot last season. Seems we're tougher now. Blame a poor referee and officials, they're the ones you should be furious with, not our players.

The second wasn't a foul. Santos hardly touched him as he backed into him and turned. The player conned the ref and was congratulated by his teamates after Santos got red.

This is a different Bolton team. We are no longer a soft touch with some strong tacklers like Dempsey, Iredale, Bradley leading the way with Williams, Johnston, Morely and Jones putting a foot in. We are also looking more dangerous on set plays so it seems lots of work going into that on the training ground. Unbelievable save from Trafford. It brought some Port vale players to their knees when he made it. So good it was. World class.

The referee sent him off against Morecambe last season. He knows that. He knows exactly that he has to be squeaky clean against a terrible referee with a history.

He’s a centre half and captain. It’s close to 40 bloody degrees. In the first ten minutes he gets a needless yellow for pushing when the ball isn’t even in play. Needless. Mindless. You can talk about how poor the ref is and how he misses santos being pushed. It literally doesn’t matter.

He puts himself in that position where any further foul he commits is likely to be a red.

He wasn’t having a good game and looked distinctly off the pace and then let’s himself get too tight to Harrison get turned and the rest is history.

I blame the referee for an inept and wholly biased performance. But our captain has to be better than that. Has to be. It was not good. Whatever the reason it was a shocking 30 minutes from Rico and it happens enough to be frustrating.

He’s not mentally a league one player let alone a championship one.

A phenomenal talent but what happened at PV happens all too much. Everyone in that stand could see what was coming. Whatever the reason he has these lapses too often.

Last season he was too soft. This season mentally weak. What's lined up for next season? Too tall.

He was yellow carded twice for minor incidents. No other player was and there were plenty of similar tackles, hands etc.

League One is League One. No player is perfect because if they were they wouldn't be here. Expecting perfection is beyond ludicrous.

Out of x amount of fans you seem to be the one who thinks Rico is poor. "Happens too often". We've conceded one goal in a team in which he's been a part of. You're always waiting for the mistake and yesterday sadly he made your day.
