Shirty McShirtface: Help pick the Wanderers' kits for next season

Post by KeyserSoze » Fri Aug 19, 2022 12:07 pm

Survey found in the link for you to have your say on what Bolton will wear next season. Alternatively go direct here: https://bwfc.socialasking.com

If the 80s one wins I wonder if we can get HB Electronics back as a sponsor?

Don’t normally get excited by kits but that Teal one is ace and brings back some good memories 👍

Love that 80s one and the Modern Classic ain't shabby either. Away ones I'm not bothered about but then they often do - current blue's nice though.

More widely, very interesting to see the club crowdsourcing like this. It's not impossible for other fans to hijack it, but the most likely are Wigan, and they'd have to create about a thousand false accounts per hacker...

The two on the right for me...Modern Classic and the Black away kit

Black away kits relegate us. Hard no.

Personally prefer the teal away kit and the 90s retro - the shoulder panels evoke my personal favourite kit from 99-01 - but I'd prefer white socks with it. Whilst I do like the modern classic, it's gotta have navy shorts for me - I know it's harking back to the Big Sam glory days, but they're not Bolton colours, they're Real Madrid or Swansea!

Ha - they weren't daft enough to have an open competition.

#2 on home for me. #1 doesn't do it for me, #3 is a nice shirt but it's not a Bolton shirt. Fulham vibes.

#1 on away, though I like #2 as well. 3 looks like a goth's jigsaw.

Sure Bruce will be along soon to give us his opinion :D

If that's the choice; 80s Retro for home, all the away shirts are awful. Think they must have been designed by the same visionary who came up with those lavender nightmares of European Athletic Championship kits. Bring back the Elephant... :oyea:

p.s. Are the car valet ads being on them?

Anything but that pinstripe monstrosity for the home and as for the pink shorts in the away kit, bloody hell!

Only a one-season deal, innit? IIRC shirts and stadium are both available to sponsor from next summer.

Someone’s brand will be on there, unless we do a Forest and hold out for a very high figure. Which I doubt.

In terms of what I’d personally most like to wear I’d go for the 80s retro and the teal number. I reckon we’ll get the 90s home and pink away, though.

I have very little interest in kits but does seem a good idea.

90’s and pink for me for what it’s worth.

Pink football shorts? Is somebody trying to prove some sort of point? Am I allowed to laugh out loud without being condemned to the stocks? The Whites will be running out to the sixties "Dawning of the Age of Aquarius" next.( (yes, I know that back in the dark days such things happened before, but good taste is ageless isn't it?) What's next, drag queen wigs and lipstick..

We played in shirts very akin to pink in the 1880's, were they trying to prove some sorta point then?

Unfortunately, there's no one around from 1880 to ask (I did mention it above) and it was only in joke anyway. )

The modern classic I like. Reminiscent of my NY Yankees baseball shirt. Gotta be Navy shorts though (with a white pinstripe)

Away shirt should be Teal. With Reebok on it.

'We know that a football kit is so much more than a shirt, shorts and a pair of socks'.

Hat. You've missed the hat. Essential for the modern day footballer.
