Best Pubs??
Evening all
Been a long time since posting on here (7 years!)
This was the first place that came to mind so sorry for the uninteresting post!
Taking a friend to his first game this weekend and it’s been a while since I’ve done a pub run before the game. Where is best these days? Best atmosphere? Most seem to be closing around the ground.

Hi Chris, been a while. Hope you're well. Horwich is best but a bit of a walk. The new FanZone was rammed against Sheffield Wednesday so I went in the hotel, but that's season tickets only. Fanzone probably a bit quieter on Saturday, sounds decent. Haven't been in yet though.ChrisC wrote: ↑Tue Aug 30, 2022 10:06 pmEvening all

I’m hearing the same thing about the fanzone being rammed and it’s a family day. Do they still run the buses from town centre if I was to drink in town?

Re: Best Pubs??
The matchday buses are now an extortionate £7 per person, with no concessions. If travelling from the town centre it's probably cheaper and more convenient by rail.

I've gotten in the hotel on a normal ticket LE
Is there a bar at the Hollywood Bowl?
I've had food at Frankie and Benny's before (accompanied by a few jars) before the game

A bus goes every 20 mins out of town and drops off outside the Beehive then a 5min walk to the ground
Missoula (between Horwich Parkway Train Station and the Ground) is normally pretty busy and lively
