Something strange is occurring on Saturday (a football match) - Bolton v Lincoln (15:00) H - 1 Oct 2022

I'd like to think we've been blessed with a fair few competent referees lately. It would be a shame to go back to previous refereeing problems so it'll be interesting to see how the referee gets on.

Last ref we had who had previous with us ended up sending off Santos with refereeing decisions looking a bit suspect. Hopefully we won't get a repeat tomorrow.

Also hope for an early decision on whether we play with our previous distinctive stadium name or not. (not even hazarding a guess on that one, but "The Britannia Stadium might be an apt choice right now, ( Think about it, Charles and Sharon, although that's just pipe-dreaming against The Chicken Shack Emporium or such ) and who'll go long-term contract on anything?

It seems ages ago but I'm sure at the Peterborough game BP said to me it was the worst ref we'd had this season in a long line of crap ones. In the plus corner for Neil Hair he did give us a pen in his last game. It was a bloody stonewaller like but even so..

Course they did. They're not as objective, analytical and reasonable as us.

When Saturday comes; well, it's here. Long awaited under normal current between match breaks, the lads "should be" fit as butchers boxer dogs...Time to mention Lincoln and how many we are going to win by? 2-0 for me. Might be a bit damp out there with the amount of rain we had yesterday and this morning, (oh, wife's just told me it' starting again) but using the old "same for both" adage, we're on our own territory so that shouldn't affect much. Right, up and at em.. :oyea:

Unfortunately I can't make today as an attendee - you know, when there was something in your diary, only it was actually in someone else's diary on your behalf and they only told you 10 minutes back. Anyhow - come on you white men.

Feels like a potential banana skin. The sort we are expected to win but is much harder than maybe it looks on paper. We just need to be at our best. COYW.

They're all there to be played. The day we start expecting, we'll have problems...

We've all been there sadly!

As for the match, lineup is as expected. Less of the rotation that we're possibly accustomed too, I suspect that may change come Tuesday night against Cheltenham.

Hopefully the international break hasn't disrupted planning that much.

Half hour in, think they had the better of the first 15, we've had the better since and seem to have some upward momentum.

Soft penalty for us, dive by Kachunga. Foul just outside of the box and then a small bit of shirt pulling in the box. Linesman's given it.

That'll do. Cheers lino!

Once he's given it should be a red that.

Not convinced there was enough in it mind.

Soft pen but you let your attacker get goal side and grab a handful of his shirt, you’re taking a risk.

Not a fan of the whole triple punishment thing. Would've made 10 men for Lincoln, penalty (possibly a goal) and him missing a match, for what was essentially a shirt pull and nudge out of the box. Would've been incredibly harsh.

Was/wasn't, shouldn't matter, Shirt pulling is foul play but happens too often. Still a foul for me whatever.
