Might as well get an early start with politics the only talk alternative. Accrington, famous for the hardest bricks in the building trade and a tough fixture that won't be a comedy. Looking at the League table, we're nine places higher, and it seems a lot of space between us and Accrington, but in reality, only five points separate us. No point dwelling on past history (which isn't too scintillating) and this is just one of many games we need to win to maintain a challenge for promotion.

So, go forth and conquer and let's hear the weather forecast for the Wham Stadium...Oh, and "Wake me up before you gog-go..." :oyea: :oyea:

I think as others suggested on Tuesday, we might need to try something different up front. I suspect Dion will want to play, given he has a point to prove..

Aye, Evatt's already hinting at that in the B.N. Both Dion and Trafford have had spells with Accrington so let's hope both are on form.

Is this how you see the line up as predicted in The Bolton News?

I don't see Isgrove starting. He's had 60 minutes and is far from a strong option anyway.

I'd say so, yes. It'd be nice to see Isgrove make the sub's bench though.

Very prophetic of you Pru. In today's B.N Evatt indicates just that as an idea after watching Chelsea. Personally, whatever he does,I just hope that he doesn't forget the first function of a full back is defence. Not everybody is a Fossey.

If so, it’s presumably Johnston-Santos-Jones-Isgrove. Hmm.

Yeah perhaps not. Dapo as a left wing back is an interesting experiment.

If a back three, it’s Dapo and Izzy at wingbacks. Either is a bold choice. And one which expects front-foot dominance.

I really don’t get this tactical inflexibility.

Play Iredale, Johnston, Santos, Jones and that’s surely a defensively sound enough back line. Then you’ve got plenty of options for the midfield and front threes.

i dunno. For a start he may play a four today. Also, playing Izzy and Dapo at WB is hardly being a stick in the mud.

He’s switched formations more than most managers we’ve had. And there are elements of pattern-play which suit us more in a back three than a four. There’s a fascinating article in The Athletic with Sol Campbell, Matthew Upson and Danny Higginbotham (plus a coach) comparing playing in the two systems and I have to say the back three sounds like it suits us more.

Four ex whites in contention to be up against us. Thankfully they're ex players that didn't really impress for us, or in Jensen's case didn't come close.

Be disappointed if we don't win today. Going for a 3 nil win but I suspect 2-1 to he more likely

Could go 4th with a win today. Lose again after Forest Green and Cheltenham then we're still.in touch but can't be considered serious promotion contenders.
I'm predicting a 2 nil Wanderers win.
