Charles and Kachunga up front, Dapo in behind at 10. Beck starting at LWB.

Beck starts at left wing back. Hopefully the most natural player we have to play in that position other than the unpickable Dec John.

I do miss MJ. Just seems to add a bit of vigour and occupies more space/players to free up the wings. CMs aren’t, currently, adding anything in the final third anyway. Also lacking a bit of height in general. Really hope that trade-off works and adds to the pace of the play. It’s looked sloppy, tired, and predictable of late.

Anyhow: come on, you whites. Fingers crossed for the Liverpool loanees today. Give ‘em hell.

An early goal seems like an impossibility (how long has it been?!) but it’d certainly settle those tempestuous tummies.

I'm glad Beck's starting. If we're going to make this formation work - and it seems we're going to keep trying - we'll only do it by playing actual wing-backs.

Don't want to hear about chances. Taking them means goals.

Urgh, just sat down to watch it and we go 1-0 down.

Such a poor goal to concede. Kachunga is literally moving away from the ball as opposed to closing down. The last thing we need is another Delfouneso. Sure Kacha is leaving it for Thomason to deal with and Thomason I suspect should've been at least putting him off balance but its not a team effort closing him down there.

And isn't this so typical? Press hard, make chances, miss them and the opposition break and score. The never ending story. Ah well, come on you Whites.

Agreed, you'd have to suspect that the players are thinking he's not gonna hit it there.

What is our plan? We look like a random collection of players.

I'm seeing a lot of signs that players are asking for more movement from their team mates. Beck, Thomason and Morley all looking for more. Might just be a case of we're not doing enough off the ball work.

Rooney dragging his boots on Thomason's face. Not very classy.

Charles. My god. Giving it away over and over again. No confidence to hit it. A half-chance falls his way, a difficult one, admittedly, and again misses the target. Bloody strikers. Was so sure they’d kick on this season.

Charles seems to be unfairly punished it would seem. Aside from that the ref has seemed alright from what I can tell.

Quality moment of the ball going into the gantry on 37 mins, not one you see that often.

Season isn't looking too good at this rate.

Shocking up top at the minute.

Feel like he missed some stuff with Rooney, the clogger, and Thomason - based on his reaction.
