Meanwhile, Bristol come a roving...Home at the Uninbol, Friday night 7-45 2 Dec
Far from international glory and World Cups, in the real world we need a more mundane but equally important prize of three league points. Bristol, seven points behind us will be scalp hunting, and we need to maintain a winning focus. Note the Friday night fixture. Take it away Whites....

Six L1 games are on Friday evening, with five to be played on Saturday afternoon with kick-off times all o'er t'shop.
Do we know why?

I'd been wondering exactly the same thing at the pub last night.
Best that we should come up with was that there was a good chance England would be playing at 3pm Saturday and so they've been allowed to move them but with the clubs getting some day in whether moved to Fri or Sat. Though I see Accrington - Oxford and queue a few L2 games are still Saturday at 3pm.

Some teams moved kick off times to avoid clashing with England potentially playing at 3pm on Saturday if they had come 2nd in their WC group.Bruce Rioja wrote: ↑Wed Nov 30, 2022 10:01 amSix L1 games are on Friday evening, with five to be played on Saturday afternoon with kick-off times all o'er t'shop.

However, with England winning the group they play on Sunday evening instead, but obviously too late to change back now.

Let's hope it's a White Friday tomorrow and not a black one. Jimmy Greave's "Funny old game" Was never more true than right now. Then again, we're a funny old team, so it should suit us. COME ON YOU WHITES!

Team tonight? Can Sadlier get his first league start? JDB from the off? Kachunga and Charles out?
Left wing back looks up for grabs. Then the midfield bingo machine!

Eoin Toal starts in the centre of defence in place of Santos who’s ill. No pressure lad

Sadlier sub again, FFS.
Looks like plenty are doing what I'm doing - wimping out of the cold and watching it at home instead.
