Will Lancashire triumph at Happy Valley? Charlton (A), Saturday, 28 January, 12:30pm

Where fellow sufferers gather to share the pain, longing and unrequited transfer requests that make being a Wanderer what it is...

The Valley's a great place. Friendly fans too. In my thirty years in London I think this was my most visited ground.

Not too many disasters from what I can recall.

Reckon we'll win 1-2

We've had some good results against these over the past few seasons, but I am quite pessimistic heading into Saturday. Holden seems to have energised the club and they've won three on the spin in the league, not to mention they will have had two weeks rest by the weekend.

Bolton on the other hand go into this match with probably only one recognised striker available, and presumably question marks over a number of our key players after the shift they put in on Tuesday.

I think I'd be happy enough with a draw given the circumstances.

I will assume that Bradley and Dempsey will be given a rest, and whilst I think Santos will again be first choice in the middle of the defence, perhaps he's not ready for two games in a week yet, so I'll guess able deputy Aimson steps back in.

Trafford

Toal Aimson Johnston

Morley Lee

Jones Williams

Shoretire

Charles Sadlier

The word "Charlton" always reminds me of their late, great goalkeeper, Sam Bartram. I believe, fittingly they've erected a statue of him outside the ground now. He was right up their with keepers like Frank Swift Bert Williams and Bert Trautman in my youth.

I’m also going to cheer you lot on with Burnden Paddock as I’ve not been to Charlton before and like a new London away ground! Obviously hoping it’s up to the quality of football I’ve been watching at The Emirates this season
It’ll be much higher quality than you’re used to. Think of it as an education in football! 🤥

Btw try not to start any fights this time! 😉

People already scalping the Accy tickets. Normal League One prices looking more and more reasonable all the time.

I’m warming to BWFC-I’s potential disaster incoming re Accy! Makeshift team, big crowd, ground we don’t normally do well on…

If we can win with 10, having 11 should be a piece of pi$$. We'll shit 'em. 0-1.

Charles has had his ban overturned and now Kachunga will be banned for three instead.

So a nice easy outcome from the mess.

Yup. Would like to see their lad get referred for the elbow, but I've watched the replay and it's not on camera, so probably nothing doing.

I'm sure the goal cam will have picked it up, or hopefully we have a camera like the one at Lincoln.

I know one thing, if Dion scores the winner on Sat he should run to the bench and put a Kachunga shirt on :D

BOOM! And just like that, Mrs Domingo's throws me a curveball that completely scuppers my plans for Saturday. Gutted doesn't even begin to describe it. 🤬
Mate, you need to have a serious discussion with her. Time to lay the law down and do what she says

I'm actually quite safe. Since the surgery the NHS has managed to completely put her off tea and coffee :D

I hope this won't affect the quantity on match days? I mean, I'm all for quality, but at the moment Dion needs quantity :D
