I had SKY disconnected some time ago and I see that it's not available on iplayer either, which only leaves one option.

3 wingbacks (for us) and a goalkeeper on the bench. Some firepower to come on, at least.

A slightly experimental team, but I suppose we are going through some transition.

No MJ in the squad.

Pre-match Evatt said "MJ has a bit of a knock, but may be okay."

Needs must line up. I don’t think it’s a bad thing to introduce new players from bench rather than throwing them in.

MJ was injured but likely to make it mid week but could be the knock was worse than thought…or could be he’s the one to make way for a new midfield player. I kind of doubt the latter just because he is happy here and I think has a more defined role and job. But depends I guess who offers something.

Be ridiculously ironic if we are playing the very system that Sadlier and Dapo fitted into and would excel in having just sold them both. Or another word….

People already speculating that Evatt has "lost faith" in Randell...after 4 games.

People would be talking nonsense. Pushing him beyond the red zone isn’t going to help and clearly some tactical planning to deal with charltons wingers going on.

Are we actually playing that formation or have they got it wrong? It would be a big FU to Dapo and Sads if on their departures we switch to a formation that wouuld suit them lol.

I would have imagined that Johnston would be playing the LWB position as opposed to Geth and Shola is playing up front alongside Dion.
Age and treachery will always overcome youth and skill!

And the key to a result is a good :kettle:

Not the half of it. He's benched our two new forwards as well.

Yeah, looks like trying to anchor that left flank without Iredale as an option.

No doubt a bid for Liam Gibson is already in the post.

Absolutely. However, if accurate, I think it's pretty damned good use of who we have - not least, not asking Bradley to continually race the length of the pitch.
I also imagine that it'll be far from what young Holden will have set his side up to face.

If we stick to the wingback system (which I'd have expected), will be interesting to see if it's Jones at LWB and we fudge the issue further up, or Johnston in the role he played against FGR to provide a left-footed outlet.

Evatt thinking he's Pep will never be dull to me.
