Paul Warne would have them top two, Ferguson won't have them near.
That's his 4th game. He won the previous 3. Warne's win ratio at Rotherham was sub 40%. Ferguson has had a better win ratio than Warne in every one of his spells in charge at Posh.

Was that a big enough win against Darren Ferguson for us not to have to worry about Evatt?
Reckon it's enough to get him sacked?
Evatt? Reckon he might be safe...unless we lose against MK Dons.
Oh, is Mark Jackson now the Trapattoni of the division?🤣

The League 1 Mourinho? Man with 4 promotions under his belt who knows his way out of this league? That Darren Ferguson? They just hadn't planned for our Portuguese wonder-striker... :-)

That one, yeah. The one we just battered 5-0 despite it being true that he gets results at this level and has a good squad.

Not sure why we'd try and play down how impressive that result is, to be honest.

We went to a team on the up and destroyed them.

My opinion, is that Paul Warne would manage the current Peterborough squad better than Ferguson will. Why you keep trotting out utterly irrelevant numbers such as how he did elsewhere is your business. But hey, if it makes you happy 😊

You're talking about how Paul Warne would theoretically do at Posh and then saying other people are making irrelevant points?

Okay :D

confused.com.

We've played an average mid table team, who leak a goal a game and have lost nearly 50% of their league matches, but had a bit if a new manager bounce recently...

That'd be playing it down! :-)

Evatt ‘you don’t make statement wins in February’. Really like that.

15 cup finals left he says. And a semi final.

So hopefully 16 cup finals. But yeah he’s spot on. Today is a massive result if we beat MK Dons Tuesday and so on….

On corners it appears to say dion and shola should jump, which I would bloody well hope so tbh.

Some bits but nothing too interesting. COMPACT, well yes.

Weird game, opposite to what I expect from us lately, we normally dominate the ball and territory but can't take our chances. I felt we were outplayed a fair bit for the first half but we counter punched clinically and the defense was superb. Santos is just incredible isn't he, but Toal is quietly brilliant too, and Mbete looked like he'd been playing for us all season, so confident on the ball. It was noticeable that the players trusted him too, leaving him as last man on occasion, surely a shoe-in for the LCB now. Peterbourgh couldn't handle Shortire at all. He is a lot like Dapo but he can do it centrally which is what we needed Dapo to do. It's a great swap.

I think the score line flattered us a bit, felt more like a 3-1 than a 5-0, it wasn't like when we annihilated Sunderland 5-0. but on the other hand some of our forward play was just too clever, too well rehearsed for them. Seeing our center backs popping up in their box time and again, players switching positions and covering each other -a set piece goal, a Santos brace!-, its a joy to watch and it's not what you expect to see at this level. Take a bow IE. MotM Santos obviously.

He has to keep feet on the ground after that. Every manager in the division will have been looking at Posh and saying "Okay, they are back in this now" and the lads have smashed them. You risk taking your eye off the ball and you're right he's said the right things there.

That is massive result regardless of MK Dons etc, though. If you could win one of those two games it's the one today, because of the "6 pointer" aspect.

We do need to keep winning, as DSB says. 16 cup finals or any other cliche we fancy, but we've given ourselves a huge boost in the play-offs hunt today.

Fergusson has admitted that it's the first time he's ever used subs just to give his players a breather.
