Absolutely mahoosive win - biggest win of the season, that, apart from Wembley.
Pompey and Wycombe are gone. Any 2 of 3 now, and Wanderers maintain the considerable advantage of an extra (home) game.

Wycombe beaten and Pompey held - both now 5pts back from a game more.
Posh and Derby still a worry but it’s a good day when you move further away from two rivals.
Barnsley losing again suggests their steam is dropping.
And someone in that top three is going to enter the playoffs very upset with life.

An important win. Backs to the wall second half performance as Exeter threw everything at us. Things settled a bit when our big 2 forwards came on, not for their size, but their pressing up front unsettled them. Randal looked like a deer in headlamps when he came on but settled once he made a run past a defender. Clearly a confidence player. Johnston was our outstanding player today. Coming from injury however, he will be a risk to start on Monday. Hope Santos is available.

Groin injury is all we know. Suspect he was carrying it and that’s why he was struggling up them steps.Dave Sutton's barnet wrote: ↑Fri Apr 07, 2023 5:03 pmNot clear. Will find out more after game. He wasn’t in the XI

John ill. Which is why he was subbed.
Santos has a thigh injury and is out for four weeks.

"Wanderers hope Santos can make it back quicker than a possible four-week absence with a thigh injury but will certainly have to manage without their skipper and key defender for much of the run-in."

We’ve had some injuries among our centre-backs this season. Iredale out for months. Johnston. Jones was out for a month over Christmas, so was Rico. Now these two. It would feel systemic if it weren’t for the variety of injury types - Rico’s breathing, the assault on Toal.

I think the volume of muscle tears/hammys/groin injuries is quite worrying.Dave Sutton's barnet wrote: ↑Fri Apr 07, 2023 7:36 pmWe’ve had some injuries among our centre-backs this season. Evatt talking about how tired we are after Sunday. I get it. But it’s like the semi final again. Stop talking about tiredness. We played Sunday Friday. It’s hardly unheard of.
Getting a bit sick of it. You would think we are the only team to have won a cup and then have to compete the top end of the league.
Yes we all get it. It takes a mental and physical toll. But talking about it constantly isn’t helping.

It's most likely propaganda. Evatt is no mug and he's very likely based it on some truth in fairness. Mental tiredness can affect just as much as physical. He's doing a grand job with the fates against him. No complaints from me to what he does.BWFC_Insane wrote: ↑Fri Apr 07, 2023 8:28 pmEvatt talking about how tired we are after Sunday. I get it.
