Get a Madine styled signed. So many punted balls late on and not one header won as far as I can tell.

This is Owen Coyle limp and woeful.

Not Bruce Rioch braves.
Alright, fella.
It is though. No other way to sum it up.

Coming up short is fine. But we’ve lacked so much. Mentality and preparation all wrong.
There's only "no other way to sum it up" if you're profoundly uninventive.

It's nothing new, but our delivery into the penalty area is woeful.

We can't afford to set up in the system we do with such ineffectivness from wide positions.

Well done Barnsley. You deserved it. More desire. Far better and sharper tactically. Controlled the game from the outset. Controlled both games. Over two legs we just didn’t turn up, we were lucky to get 1 tbh. Goalkeeping mistake was our only change in 180 minutes of football.

Everything we were in the cup final, was everything we weren't in the play-offs.

We've seen what needs to improve. Midfield needs sorting, we need outs on the flanks and we can't keep having teams target Toal by letting him have the ball and just waiting for him to waste it.

Lots to do this summer, but it's been a good season.

Fully deserved Barnsley.

Indeed. People going on about Bradley. We will be a better team if someone on the right side can kick a ball with some accuracy, he can’t.

Indeed. Been a great ride, and we got a couple of bonus games at the end. Bring on the title next time out.

Midfield, wing backs and up front. The debate about strikers is over. Nobody can argue we can go into next season with those lumps as our options.

Shit performance. Defenders potentially the only ones who can hold their heads held high tonight. Piss poor performance over two legs.

Crossing was so utterly poor. Not ambitious enough. We had a good ten mins at the start of each half.

Great season with a really piss poor performance to finish it off.

Just really disappointed to finish the season in that fashion. Good season overall, but I’m gutted.

I don't judge forwards when there's not been a single quality ball into them over 90 minutes. The movement was fine, they just got no service of any kind.

Barnsley closed down in a shape to feed the ball to Toal and he misplaced almost every pass he hit.

Morley was also utter garbage.

Evatt got the midfield shape wrong in the first half. We were good for 15 minutes in the second half and then it went to crap again.

Without our best 2 players and with the shit we've saddled ourselves with in January.
This season has been a success, and the day out at Wembley should not be underestimated, but I think we'll struggle.

It’s not a viable tactic at this level to expect constant delivery from overlapping centre halves. We’ve got to have wing backs who can when isolated one on one produce an end product.

180 minutes of absolute mediocrity. We saw what they did Saturday and offered them exactly the same but with less passion. Some poor tactical calls between home and away - with zero elements of surprise.

Overall, a decent season with a disappointing fizzle at the end. Barnsley deserved the win overall.
