Meaningless game for me this, not bothered whether we win or lose as long as we avoid injuries. Priority this year is automatic promotion. I'm sure that loads will disagree but this is only my opinion - lets focus 100% on promotion.

However good the Papa Johns win was last year, in my opinion it affected our league run in, injuries to Toal & Santos etc. These games should be used to get game time for the squad players.
It does affect our league run in, but bowing out of the competition aimlessly does us no favours just ask Gary Megson or 10 men Wigan (after 5 fkin minutes aswell).

So lets treat this cup with the onus it deserves. Players dream of winning cups and having success. Yes, winning the league is priority, but lets not do it by killing dreams. The fans want to see Bolton competing against the best and having cup upsets.

Evatt's made all the changes he can, whilst playing lads he trusts to do a job.

Sadlier doesn't even make the bench, but John does.

Would be nice to be able to see how everyone does. Keep me posted.

I almost called it right lol. And a 1st team bench as well apart from John. If we don't beat Barrow with that team then questions will be asked.

Maybe against a different side Evatt would've gone for a softer bench. As it stands I think he wants to come out as the winner against his former club and put in a good showing. We should be winning this. Hopefully nothing silly with the new lads tonight.

Sounding mighty encouraging from Iles's text commentary on the B.N.site. Gomes just missed a sitter...apparently...

Was hoping we'd be one up by now. Plenty of time spent in their half, just nothing yet to show for it.

Ha, lo and behold, Ashworth on hand. Lovely jubbly. When did we become a set piece team

A left-footed set piece specialist would be a welcome addition to our options.

Well done, young man.

Get a second and it's a good position. 1-0 is never safe, but two is. Wsll done Ashworth who I didn't even know played for us. Ignorance is bliss, hey-ho. :oyea:

The writing must be on the wall for Sadlier.

Nlundulu, Gomes and Maghoma off.

Triple sub for Wanderers: Adeboyejo, Dempsey and Morley on.

Iles sounds less than impressed with the Whites.

Decent subs to see out the game. Clearly Evatt's happy to see this one out. Nothing silly.

Little underwhelming from an attacking point of view given its lower league opposition.

Feck me that was tedious. Strange how walking slowly towards the opposition goal doesn't yield chances or spaces.
