Meaningless game for me this, not bothered whether we win or lose as long as we avoid injuries. Priority this year is automatic promotion. I'm sure that loads will disagree but this is only my opinion - lets focus 100% on promotion.

However good the Papa Johns win was last year, in my opinion it affected our league run in, injuries to Toal & Santos etc. These games should be used to get game time for the squad players.

It does affect our league run in, but bowing out of the competition aimlessly does us no favours just ask Gary Megson or 10 men Wigan (after 5 fkin minutes aswell).

So lets treat this cup with the onus it deserves. Players dream of winning cups and having success. Yes, winning the league is priority, but lets not do it by killing dreams. The fans want to see Bolton competing against the best and having cup upsets.

Maybe against a different side Evatt would've gone for a softer bench. As it stands I think he wants to come out as the winner against his former club and put in a good showing. We should be winning this. Hopefully nothing silly with the new lads tonight.
