Urgh, can't say i'm overly enamoured with a Bolton - Boro cup tie. That being said its a chance for the club to get extra TV possibility due to the history between the two.

That's a crap tie. Can we have a re-draw and get Crewe at home?

So it's going to be settled by Charles slipping and double kicking a penalty in the 80th minute?

Not a great tie. Neither side will be too happy with it, but expect Boro to bring a good following

We'll be the underdogs for once and I hope we don't embarrass ourselves like we did against Villa. If we show up, we'll have a chance, but they do have a very good attack

I think it's a really good tie. Home draw, strong but not way too superior opposition, good away following. I'm happy.

I have zero recollection of that 1997 tie that DSB refers to upthread.

It was the first game after we'd lost 5-0 at the other borough - Hillsborough

Happy enough with that draw, home tie and a good test of our credentials against a team in a higher division. Could have been far worse.

Should be a game we sell a few tickets for. I think it's a good mix of income and chance of going through.

Always a ding-dong affair v the Smoggies, although our history isn't good. We'll have a thread a bit nearer the time.
