Have a look at the inconsistent decisions. The amount of challenges that Vela and Rooney got away with and Kachunga getting sent off for that is absolutely ridiculous.

Just fecking embarrassing that ref. I’m sure he had Dion Charles on his mind from the go - the first booking was soft but it was at that point Evatt should have taken him out of the equation. Big miss for a big game now and it’s his own fault.

I am not sure what to say about the ref. He indicated that he was booking Charles for a foul on the goalkeeper, but only after Charles complained at length about the trip. If that's the case he's essentially sent a player off for annoying him, not for anything within the rules of the game. Then he sends off Evatt for something Scott Brown appeared to agree Evatt didn't say.

Exactly this. Rooney and Vela putting in some dangerous challenges, some petulant niggly challenges on our players (trip on Charles for example) that went unpunished aswell as the off the ball manhandling on Iredale. There's more than enough case to call the referees judgement into question.

Referee probably lost his head due to the last time he reffed us. Never going to be an easy game for him but he hasn't handled it well. It'll be interesting to see any referee review style like those twitter clips that usually float around.

I didn’t think the defending was thaaaat bad? I thought fleetwood looked reasonable going forward. Both wingbacks were excellent again and Santos did his usual job of winning everything and mopping up…

Charles was sent off for nothing. Anyone who thinks that decision was not utterly ridiculous has no place following this great sport. He committed no foul. The ref sent him off for obstructing the keeper. I don’t think the referee got a single decision right today. A complete disgrace.

That type of player I'm just looking for commitment and understanding of what the manager needs him to do defensively. He was excellent. He doesn't need to be Maldini. He closed off space, got all his triggers right and kept sprinting. Loved it.
