No lack of effort there.

Penalty as well. Ref must've felt like he owed them one.

Delighted with three points. Although second half was more even, never really got overly nervy... COYWM

Big thanks as ever D.J BLU. Hero..
Bit of panicky defending at odd times, but good game and great result. Williams could have had three more....

Usual hoodoo over Charlton. Always seems to be decent performances there usually match with the win. Very nice.
Would've been nice to have gone 2nd in the league, but Oxford's late equaliser put pay to that one.
Really good win.

Yeah, but please don't forget: according to some (who incidentally go very quiet when we do well ...) we"re a weak, leaderless, bunch of shirkers who can't be arsed and are nowhere near threatening the top 2, so only right we stay 3rd...

Maybe the Wycombe result has had a bigger positive impact than we thought?

Good atmosphere down there today DSB? Sounds like a great away performance. If I'm allowed one teeny, tiny worry, its that once again, in terms of scoreline, we were much stronger in the 1st half than the 2nd. I'll take this kind of result each week until May though!

Doesn’t matter if you keep clean sheets. I don’t care if we drop off 2nd half if mostly we don’t concede.Harry Genshaw wrote: ↑Sat Oct 28, 2023 6:14 pmGood atmosphere down there today DSB? Yeah, strong support. Close to 2,000 Wanderers in the Jimmy Seed Stand, plenty of singing, all of it positive - even a song or two for Dan Nlundulu. Proper "support".Harry Genshaw wrote: ↑Sat Oct 28, 2023 6:14 pmGood atmosphere down there today DSB? Sounds like a great away performance. As a fan, this second half wasn't anything like as worrying as Tuesday's. Charlton had more ball but we didn't look desperate, and regularly looked threatening on the break - special mention to Rico for leading a couple of counters, including a deft dink to the back post. Randell could/should have had a hat-trick, Dion should have had a second after utterly superb front-pair work from him and Vic. Morley looked good and Maghoma asked different questions when he came on.
And we didn't concede. It never felt inevitable, and it never happened.
Happy lad. Also good to see rivals constantly slipping up. Pompey did well to come back from 2-0 down to Reading, but they went 2-0 down to Reading. They keep finding answers but they had a 7-point week, so did Posh; elsewhere, Barnsley and Stevenage got 5pts, Oxford 2pts. The only other team in the division to win all 3 games this week were, weirdly, Wigan.
Just keep winning. It's a good thing. Enjoy it.

First half was almost better then watching Brazil (maybe carried away a bit there, but the football at times was superb). I do tend to wish we wouldn't play suicide passing when are in front and we sit back as we did second half. Hoses for courses situation wise definitely applies there and that could cost us . Charlton played some nice stuff, but they were always chasing the ace and even Alfie May's gold boots didn't help today. A very entertaining ninety plus minutes. Well done the Whites.
