Be great if we are at our very best for the whole 90 minutes because I believe we'd stuff em if we were.
However, last Monday I'd have taken 4 points from our next 2 games, no problem, so a draw wouldn't be the end of the world.

If Jones is indeed out today then I'd say there aren't too many doubts regarding the lineup Evatt will start with.
Baxter
Forrester Santos Toal
Sheehan
JDC Maghoma Thomason Williams
Charles Vic
That's probably not far from our strongest possible team even if we had no injuries, and one that's well capable of beating any side in our division.
Whilst Blackpool's form has been patchy, we have to assume that they will pose a stern test, and any sort of win would be big for us.
2-1 Bolton.

^^ You would think that XI was likely, fo sho.
Re: Where no seagulls fly...Home to Blackpool Sat 11th Nov, 1500 hrs.
Agreed.
To add to that the contributions made from the bench have been significant in recent weeks so even the extra output from the rotated players seems likes an efficient game plan rather than people necessarily deserving to start and having to miss out. Think Ricketts or Klasnic's contributions off the bench, sometimes thats the best place for players to get the biggest impact.
I ended up watching the closing stages of St Paulis match on YouTube whilst waiting for me laddos music lesson. It was terribly boring and highlighted to me the benefits of Nlundulus running and pressing. That may be the difference between playing out a nil nil but I couldn't help but think if last nights match had someone pressing as hard as Nlundulu then maybe they would've had plenty more turnovers and plenty more chances to turn a drab result into a good one

Preserve the clean sheet, the points will follow. That needs no explanation and applies to who we play against. Believe..

If St Pauli would like to swap Dapo back for Dan I’d say we’d consider.

That for me is the team we'll go for. In other news the Posh are smacking the crap out of the U"s. 3-0 at half time sees them move a point behind us.The_Gun wrote: ↑Sat Nov 11, 2023 10:13 amIf Jones is indeed out today then I'd say there aren't too many doubts regarding the lineup Evatt will start with.

Lot of police vans outside the stadium. Heightened tensions with marches elsewhere and the remembrance day concerns.
I wouldn't have thought a match of Bolton vs Blackpool would require an increased police presence. Maybe the issues after the Solihull Moors match have caused us to pay for more policing?

… from two games more. 4-0 now* but sadly against Cambridge U’s, not (as I had hoped) Oxford U’s…sonicthewhite wrote: ↑Sat Nov 11, 2023 12:56 pmIn other news the Posh are smacking the crap out of the U"s. 3-0 at half time sees them move a point behind us.
*NARRATOR …but still none for Jonson Clarke-Harris, watching from the bench

Unchanged line-up from the Shrews game. No Forrester on the bench as he's got a minor ankle injury but Coleman returns to the bench.

If we crouch and do not slouch,
And no one brings a massive pouch,
I think we'll all fit on the couch,
With no one saying "fkin ouch"

Eek, not the best of starts. Blackpool hitting the post and generally looking up for it.
Hopefully not a sign of things to come.

Magoma isn't scared of receiving that ball in tight spaces. Get it into him and move.

Sheehan the most influential so far. Norburn lucky not to have a yellow for those three fouls on Sheehan.
They look like they're trying to get at him at the slightest opportunity in an effort to keep him quiet. I've seen at least 4 notable tackles on him.
