Club Record
106 goals in a calendar year. Fair play!
Come the end of the month we should vote for our favourite…let’s get a shortlist going.
Thomasson v Blackpool has to be on it.

Re: Club Record
Yeah, I was thinking our first - on the basis the question is "favourite" not "best." But going 1-0 up in a Wembley final, early doors and setting the tone - you sorta looked and said "that's us, that is..." with maybe just the hint of a little "tin pot" glow.

Re: Club Record
Question is definitely favourite! I can see a case for both, but that second goal said ‘early cushion’ and was a thing of beauty. So that would be in the poll! I actually enjoyed Kachas just as much - three up just after half time, game won, and he had struggled of course last season.
Re: Club Record
Morley’s free kick at Charlton was lovely aesthetically. Perfect dip, curl, and in off the post past diving fingertips.

Re: Club Record
We play 1st, 11th, 16th, 9th, 21st in that order, as it stands.
The boxing day fixture vs Lincoln will be interesting. Very little rest coming up against a top half side might just be a tough challenge.
The real question is, what tally will we finish on?

What's the record for goals in a season? I'll take that one too, please.

If we kept up the scoring rate we've set in the last 10 league games for the rest of the season we'd score 107 league goals.officer_dibble wrote: ↑Fri Dec 08, 2023 12:42 pmMy usual go to is 96/97 which was 101. Not sure about ye olden days.

Bloody busy today with work, which doesn't half get in the way, but pays the mortgage better than editing a fanzine did.
Glad to have you back.

Money is good. I'm sans work until mid February now, so nothing to do but enjoy the footy and chill out. Unless someone decides to throw a load of cash at me for unforeseen reasons.Dave Sutton's barnet wrote: ↑Fri Dec 08, 2023 1:31 pmBloody busy today with work, which doesn't half get in the way, but pays the mortgage better than editing a fanzine did.

Re: Club Record
Was thinking that the club could do a supercut video of every goal.
Even if they only get 5 seconds each, it would last nearly 10 minutes.
