And maybe she prefers the peace….
Khumbeni loaned to Morecambe. Good luck to him. Good to see our Bs loaned to the fourth tier.

Not sure it’s either/or. Iles saying potentially another couple. Matheson plus…?GhostoftheBok wrote: ↑Thu Feb 01, 2024 4:33 pmInterestingly, the Luke Matheson loan may turn out to be a Khumbeni loan - who has gone to Morecambe.

I imagine so, but I think he said "One to League Two" - which most (including me) hade assumed would be Luke. Delighted for Nelson that he's gone to a League club.Dave Sutton's barnet wrote: ↑Thu Feb 01, 2024 4:41 pmNot sure it’s either/or. Iles saying potentially another couple. So remains to be seen what level Luke will get.

Good loan for Khumbeni. Nice positive learning experience at a decent level. Seems strange for him to get a move to that tier given he wasn't really getting game time at the previous club. From what I saw I rated him quite highly so hopefully better progression for the lad.

I'm not sure how we've got round the "two clubs" rule with Khumbeni (unless non-league club's don't count) but I'm glad he's got a gig further up the pyramid.

Watching clips of Collins it’s hard not to be excited. Sometimes you get players who score goals but when you watch them back they just look a bit clumsy, and maybe the benefitted from the system or style the team were playing. But Collins scores left foot, right foot, headers, 30 yarders and tap ins. He runs at people and the thing that is most noticeable is how quickly he sorts his feet out in the box.
He might not have been in form this season. But if we can get him at the form or last season…then oh boy would he be the missing piece. I imagine him and Charles on form together would absolutely rip this league apart.

The fact Pompey are cheering that their new signing once played on with a fractured skull tells me football has learnt precisely sod all recently. Whilst I understand the "Oh, he's so committed" aspect the lack of "Who the feck let him do that?" was striking.

We just allowed our captain to play in a pointless tinpot cup game even though he was injured in the warm up.GhostoftheBok wrote: ↑Thu Feb 01, 2024 5:19 pmThe fact Pompey are cheering that their new signing once played on with a fractured skull tells me football has learnt precisely sod all recently. We’ve admitted to playing Cogley into the red zone and putting him at risk too.
I think it’s an area we need to improve on - maybe the recruitment will bring that improvement but when you ignore the experts it isn’t great!

To an extent I agree, but a fractured skull and "the red zone" are not the same thing.BWFC_Insane wrote: ↑Thu Feb 01, 2024 5:23 pmWe just allowed our captain to play in a pointless tinpot cup game even though he was injured in the warm up.

I had the same thought about this move nicholaldo. I'm assuming we've done our homework on the rules and it's all kosher. It must be that either non-league football or the EFL Trophy doesn't come under the remit of these FIFA rules. I've tried to find more info on it from Google but to no avail.nicholaldo wrote: ↑Thu Feb 01, 2024 5:01 pmI'm not sure how we've got round the "two clubs" rule with Khumbeni (unless non-league club's don't count) but I'm glad he's got a gig further up the pyramid.

Bid rejected for Vic, according to our new best friend Pete O.

I assume it'll only be accepted if it gets silly.

I signed Caleb Taylor on loan in my FM game, he did well.

When it's ankle deep in mud on a rugby pitch, it's difficult to distinguish.GhostoftheBok wrote: ↑Thu Feb 01, 2024 5:41 pm"You left the magic sponge on the pitch!"

My wingbacks for Bolton were Ogbeta and Ramsay. Got me CL football and an FA Cup. If we sign Sydney Van Hooijdonk then we'll know Markham has just hacked my online save instead of doing his job properly.

Adam Mayor has gone to Millwall I think?GhostoftheBok wrote: ↑Thu Feb 01, 2024 4:33 pmInterestingly, the Luke Matheson loan may turn out to be a Khumbeni loan - who has gone to Morecambe.
Here's hoping it's because we've secretly agree a first option on Adam Mayor...not how things tend to work anymore, but still.
The irony of us loaning a black player to Morecambe is not entirely lacking, it must be said.
