Trouble is Santos, Toal. Charles, Williams are all having nightmares. JDB has tired second half. Jones isn’t far off nightmare. Neither is Maghoma at this stage.
Too many aren’t playing well. But the midfield right now is biggest issue. We need to be braver and stronger in there.

They want this more than we do. Players shirking passes and hiding since half time. Really disappointing.

Thomason been our best player tonight. Along with Baxter.

It's the press too. We try and pass it out of defence and it's intercepted then there's a huge gap for Pompey to drive into.officer_dibble wrote: ↑Mon Dec 11, 2023 9:22 pmThey want this more than we do. Players shirking passes and hiding since half time. Really disappointing.

Yeah agreed they haven’t given us a minute. Good players find ways though! Dempsey Iredale and Morley on…Evatt agrees

Yeah, that's what Maghoma gives us. Not after 60 mins and knackered, mind.officer_dibble wrote: ↑Mon Dec 11, 2023 9:26 pmYeah agreed they haven’t given us a minute. Good players find ways though! Dempsey Iredale and Morley on…Evatt agrees

End of the day against good sides if you miss the chances we did early on then this is always likely to happen. I’m not sure there is much difference here bar we didn’t take the chances we needed to. Away from home against top of the league miss an open goal and writing is on the wall most of the time.

I think we look a bit hurried on the ball. They’re pressing well and putting us under pressure. Lots of passes just half a yard off and we’re giving it away.officer_dibble wrote: ↑Mon Dec 11, 2023 9:22 pmThey want this more than we do. Players shirking passes and hiding since half time. Simple stuff here. Players not making 10 yard sprints to offer an easier pass. Lads in possession not turning, because the pressure has been so good they are just waiting to get hit.
They've done a number on us and fair play to them.

In which case we’ve got to be mentally much stronger or we are easy beat….they are a decent side.GhostoftheBok wrote: ↑Mon Dec 11, 2023 9:28 pmSimple stuff here. Playing out from the back too much and it’s not working. Need a plan b.

Sheehan again. That’s why he should have gone off

Again, what plan B do we have when we're out pressed?

Sheehan shouldn’t be on. Neither should Cogley.
Need a change up top. Maybe even two.

Dacres-Cogley has been done every single time, 'fouling' down that left hand side. And the ref buys it *every* *single* *time*.

And if these Yengi fouls are fouls, how many does he need for a yellow?

Morley touched the ball three times. Given it away three times.

I can’t remember us giving the ball away as much as this for years. It’s terrible.

Thinking of making a "Missing" poster for Dion at this stage.
