We can blame you then rather than the players. Give them some reprieve from the criticism, given its christmas an allAbdoulaye's Twin wrote: ↑Tue Dec 26, 2023 3:05 pmProblem is when I watch it is usually a depressing lossMar wrote: ↑Tue Dec 26, 2023 3:03 pmDo it, if you suffer through the bad days of Keith Hill and Anderson ownership then the least we can do is enjoy these good timesAbdoulaye's Twin wrote: ↑Tue Dec 26, 2023 3:02 pmStruggling whether to plonk myself on the couch or not. Wembley aside I've not been a good luck charm when watching recently

Couch a bit uncomfortable for me today.

Some good moments so far. Some nervy moments too. Think we've had more good than bad.
Nice to see Adeboyejo getting a shot off by working the chance himself.
If anything I think we've been a little too lapse in deliveries from out wide. Plenty of good work to get into the spots for crossing, but not enough in terms of ensuring the delivery finds a man.
Charles barely had a sniff so far which I think is the most telling part of the game.
Stevenage, Barnsley and Derby all winning at the moment. So we've got work to do.

When we do things quickly they are all over the shop. Been too slow, too often.

Definitely seems to be the case. When we have a shift in tempo they struggle.officer_dibble wrote: ↑Tue Dec 26, 2023 3:30 pmWhen we do things quickly they are all over the shop. Been too slow, too often.
Again, we're struggling out wide today in terms of finding the right pass. Possibly due to how much effort Lincoln are putting in defensively.
For all our efforts and seemingly coming close, we're yet to really get a shot off of note. Not to say we've played badly, just ineffective where it matters. Would quite fancy Maghoma or Thomason getting a shot off to mix it up a little (Morley is sitting deep so less likely to get in a position to pull the trigger).
Maghoma currently not at his best. Seemingly trying a little too hard to get the dribble off rather than quick passing and waiting for the right opportunity to dribble at the opposition.

Disgusting challenge from Makama. Looks to be one of those to injure the player rather than win the ball. Wouldn't have been surprised if a red came out.

Quick break, should score. Don’t think Maghoma run was the best one. I’m happy when they press us high as that’s when it opens up.

Better ball needed there from jones.

Well its opening up. Seems like both teams are keen on getting the advantage just before HT.officer_dibble wrote: ↑Tue Dec 26, 2023 3:39 pmQuick break, should score. Don’t think Maghoma run was the best one. I’m happy when they press us high as that’s when it opens up.

Just tuning in. How are we doing?

Absolutely standard wanderers performance. Dominating the ball, not doing enough with it in the key areas.

Put it this way, the mugs are ready, the tea bags are in. Everythings seemingly in place for a really good brew, but we're just missing the kettle going on.
We've come close, but the keeper hasn't had a save to make. Plenty of blocked efforts. Frustrating.
Foul throw probably sums up our first half. Looks good, but not exactly right.

Needs Morley to impose himself on the game more. He’s not had enough of the ball and he’s good enough with it make the difference here.

Should be winning. Some really good play without the finishing.

Thomason has been absolutely sublime. It’s hard to even describe how good he’s been.
We’ve dominated completely but not made neatly enough chances.
For me front two, Morley and Maghoma are all disappointing. They’ve had some decent service but wasted it up front and Morley and Maghoma have lost it too often.
Can’t afford any let up second half. Have to up the tempo and play for 90 plus to win this. And we need to win it.
Williams done well and JDC stretched them but could do with getting some deliveries in a bit earlier sometimes.
