Seconds out, Round Four. V Blackpool away Tues, 30th Jan. 7-0'clock.

Ashworth has been poor. Doesn’t look up to it physically and is persistently giving it away and not getting back to rectify.

[then gets an assist for laying off Demps for a total beauty]

Could that not be due to a lack of match sharpness?

I'd quite like to be the first team to successfully defend this trophy. It'd go nicely alongside our "biggest winning margin" record from last year.

He's done OK. It's hard to stand out in this team.

Neither full back is making me fully comfortable should we get an injury.

I get the impression Ashworth is our 4th choice backup, we've got loads of others that I suspect would be staking a claim ahead of him (Williams, JDC, Iredale, Gethin). He's done good for cover as has Matheson.

Coleman makes me a little nervous. Lad from Bolton as well, so its nice to see we've got one of our own in there.

Coleman's not been mustard tonight, has he?
We’ve had worse reserve keepers. Remi Matthews and that clown we signed from Leeds in recent years.
Rachubka? After years of stability and excellence in goal we really did have some shockers during our dark days sliding down the leagues.

Yeah and being a young relatively inexperienced pro. I’ve seen enough to see why we thought he was worth a look this season. Do I see him taking Williams place, no but hes not looked out of place.

Matheson is the interesting one - great going forward, not very disciplined at all defensively, but of work to do with him there.

I should say so. And a newish back line, too. Think both loanees had a tricky one tonight. They just haven’t tasted a Pizza final!

Agree with both bits. He's looked a bit all at sea, but could be related to injury rehab..

Great win with a much changed team. Could and should have been a landslide win but through to the next round, match mins for our fringe players and our key players rested. A good night all round.

I was wondering the same thing. Might've meant Lonergan.

Turns out Ian can sign keepers just not if they're called Billy or Joel.

Good win with a changed side, but come three o'clock on Saturday I think the regular crowd will shuffle in.

If that's accurate how embarrassing is that for Accy?
