Hope it's correct, but it's not a sworn witness statement, it's a press statement!

It's a big game, but given I assume the new lad is fit, I'm not sure I'd be rushing Forrester back from a hammy. Ideally we wouldn't need to risk Toal either but both would seem to be pushing it!

I think Evatt will want as much continuity as possible for this one.

Under the scope this has all the ifs and butts of a draw.. I want to be wrong because I always predict wins for us. Just a feeling.

I’m of the same opinion as Pru. I think Forrester is superb, but would rather not rush him back after injury if possible.

Makes sense not to rush Forrester back. We did the same with JDB and others so i'm hoping they'll stick to the long term approach.
That being said it may be the case that the same is done for Toal where we see JDC at the back in the three.

Oxford winning 1-0 but a question: are they still relevant?
A win today and it'll be 2 from 4 for automatic promotion imo; with Oxford/Barnsley/Stevenage/Blackpool battling for the final two playoff spots.

Too early to rule anything much out for me. 27 games into 2021, we were 13th...I know we didn't win it, but too early to write any top 6 sides out of the equation for me.

Not bad is it? We could assume that once Forrester/Geth/Rico return there might be a centre-back on there, but then again I think Evo may want to change both forwards and both wingbacks in every game now.

Oxford now drawing, if we don't finish above them we won't be in the top six.
People haven't got a good word for you, but i have T**T.

I'm surprised Jerome is there tbh, instead of Coleman

A good and sensible selection. Forrester not rushed back and I think Toal will take Rico's position. Very attack minded bench. I reckon barring injuries all five subs in the second half will be wingbacks and forwards. Scary thought for Barnsley.

It's probably the strongest Evatt's ever named, although I'm also nervous at the lack of Coleman

I suspect CamJem will be back to being the “defensive forward” sub.
What’s more fascinating to me is Evatt’s use of CMG. He can play as a second forward but presumably that’s now Collins’ domain. He could be an attacking 8 but perhaps only when we’re either chasing the game or totally dominant - not, I’d suggest, for a day like today. Could also play as an attacking WB but now we have options there, too. Maybe as a pacy forward if that’s what’s needed?

I think we are all gonna have to get (back) used to a goalieless bench.
Oh and FWIW I think it’s currently a four-way battle for the top two with the rest squabbling over playoffs. Could change but only with ling strings of results, positive or negative.

I think that's likeliest, just that I wouldn't write a top 6 side out, just yet, on the "never give a mug a chance" principle.Dave Sutton's barnet wrote: ↑Sat Feb 03, 2024 2:28 pmI think we are all gonna have to get (back) used to a goalieless bench.
