Both sides are free in a fortnight.

Next midweeks we have free are Tue 19 and Tue 26 March, but that's either side of the international weekend - which itself will almost certainly cause another postponement for the Shrewsbury home game scheduled Sat 23 March.

There are also three midweeks free in April, when we are currently only scheduled to play (after Easter Monday, 1st) on the four Saturdays - 6, 13, 20, 27.
You'd imagine that wouldn't be ideal for us given it's international weekend and we're likely to be missing Charles, etc.

Mate, there are folk who have travelled there - you don’t get your time off and petrol back. We’re sat on our arses with a brew.
I was at Plymouth in a similar monsoon and I was saying it should be off. Yes, it's hugely awkward and expensive for the fans but it's just not safe.
That turned quite late on didn’t it? One of those where the result was already done so the ref feared a backlash from a late abandonment?
ISTR it was raining on the way in - I remember having to vault a six-foot puddle, fairly sure that was before the game. The pitch deterioriated badly late on and yeah you're right the officials probably wouldn't have started if the pitch was that bad.

And then it took me 18 hours to get home....

We're going to be playing into June at this rate. Can't be helped.

We've played EFL Trophy games the midweek before the international weekend. However, if it's a rearranged game we would have the right to say no - both teams have to agree.

April it is - and personally I reckon I might make that. Shirt-sleeved promotion celebration?

No arguments on that being that right call. Frustrating but there was a serious risk to injury there.

As I say, there's six free midweeks, only two of which abut an international weekend. It'll be reet.

Sorry for the fans who've travelled. Disappointing for us at home, but lousy (and expensive) luck for them. Surprised it was allowed to start under such conditions. Ah well, kettle on time and roll on Saturday and off to sunny Northampton....er, maybe..?

Feel sorry for the fans who made the trip.

Yes, a trip I can see myself making too, all being well. As it's become nigh on impossible to get an away ticket, I'd contemplated going tonight, but decided I'd be cutting it too fine to get the last train to Trancentral. Exeter next month seems to be the only other realistic prospect of a game this season.

Urgh, are we gonna get a repeat of that rain soaked night vs Port Vale (IIRC)?
