FFS

JDC and JDB coming close, and we fail to be switched on defensively.

Come on Bolton!

So santos isn’t the magical fix. Defensively we’ve conceded far too many goals of late. It’s not just a keeper thing either. We’ve become too soft centred.

However it’s not tough always like today that are costing us its games against bottom half sides where we’ve too often not turned up or not won. The ones where people say ‘oh it’s just one of those days’. It’s one of those days cumulatively that you can’t afford if you want to get out of this league and that for me is why there is massive pressure on the remainder of this game and then Tuesday.

They are now must wins. And we’ve not played badly today. We just look too easy to score past.

Feels like you've copied and pasted this from a previous game.

It's a game against Blackpool, where historically we do badly. Referee seemingly a homer aswell so it's likely to be a tough battle. Not excusing the fact we're 2-1 down, but saying we're too soft centred doesn't really provide any useful information as to why we conceded the goal.

We look to have the battle in us today and with a bit more luck we'd've scored the JDB effort or the CMG effort.

Still plenty of time.

Be easier when its not a derby game or a game where we're changing the mainstay of our defence every other match.

Worst i've seen JDC play for quite some time. Hopefully that improves. He's just had a nice cross to CMG there which he should've scored.

Blackpool doing a good job of conning the referee there. No chance was a tap on the shoulder enough to warrant a 360 flip.

I don't think it's too controversial to say conceding 2 is going to get you less lots of 3 points than conceding 0. Feels like a pretty "stands on it's merits" sorta statement, bit like when you score 3 and only come away with 1 point. :-(

Refs been shite. We've been great going forward and awful defensively.

Can't keep conceding goals that easily and expect to win enough games.

To be fair , their keeper has been man of the match so far.

Not looking good is it. Turned it round Tuesday at half time but it’s a big ask to keep doing this - got to stop conceding soft goals.

Not controversial at all. Does feel a bit groundhog day with us having a defensive problem, bringing in a player and then realising that's not the fix as we concede more goals than we're comfortable with.

CMG and JDB up top seem to be causing a few problems.

We've been notably quiet on the left side and JDC seems to be struggling today, but we've been creating chances on that right flank, so even on a bad day JDC's still contributing.

Playing really well for me, ref their best player, desperately unlucky not to score at least another 2. Same pattern as Charlton match, who managed to score 3 from an xG of about 0.3. We're just shit out of luck at the moment. Gomez playing brilliantly.

It’s a run in where because of our profligacy against the lower teams we now have no room for error.

That’s the point. Today is a tough game but these are now must wins. Because of the Carlisle’s, Charlton’s, Northampton’s, Wigan at home’s….we can go on but my point is we’ve got no grace because of too many results against the bottom half sides where we bottled it. Now we have to find wins in the toughest run in out of the top 6.

If we've got the toughest run in out of the top 6 then it potentially suggests we've been in a league position that flatters us. These are the types of games we should be winning if we're going to get promoted.
