In the end, that’ll do. Would’ve taken a point before kick off anyway! Great effort

Bunch of bottlers. Honestly. This lot never show any fight or steel or spine.
Stick that up your craw.

His character exactly what we needed.BWFC_Insane wrote: ↑Tue Mar 05, 2024 9:46 pmIredale has to start next game. He’s been good coming on.
Get in there - promotion or not that’s a good result in a game we looked like getting nowt from. And I enjoyed that goal.

Thank fk for that!
Well played Bolton. When the chips are down that's the reaction you'd hope he'd have. Lovely jubbly. Pace and purpose in our play did wonders. If we play like that last 30 minutes for the rest of the season we'll go up.
Had it down as a mustn't lose and we did just that. Great comeback.

That’ll do. I dunno how to even start with a game like that. Completely outplayed for an hour.
Sublime for the last half hour. Chances missed. Penalty missed. Follow up equaliser with a minute of injury time to go. I dunno how to even process that or what to do with it.
Ultimately we’ve just got to use that. Got to. That comeback has to be some sort of template.

And they did...Whew...
Si Deus pro nobis, quis contra nos?
Re: Raising the Bar: Barnsley (A), Tue 5 Mar 7.45pm
feck me that was horrible to watch. Doing it the Bolton way. Almost like a win that.
That final third needs sorting sooner rather than later.
Toal telling Cosgrove he's a c*nt is my highlight.
Can't keep doing that every game. My ticker is on it's arse.
It's obvious why Barnsley concede loads but also evident why they scored loads. Clinical.
2 nil and you fecked it up.

Yeah has to be the spark that. I thought we’d crumble at 2-0 - seems odd to pin it to Iredale coming on but I think he has to be influential.

Agree - I like him in our system, he passes well and that helps with the overloads. Not sure who to drop, like...BWFC_Insane wrote: ↑Tue Mar 05, 2024 9:46 pmIredale has to start next game. He’s been good coming on.

We're miles better when we're not patiently building up the play. When we go for the jugular we look lethal.
The patient build up play suits us when we're ahead.

I think it was I who said that quoting yourself sounds a bit knowing.

Good to see we found our backbone in the end.

Oh and what a sub Jerome was. Always said he's a baller.
Dare I say JDC being injured might force Gethin out to RWB?

WOW! What a game. My heart is racing and I'm shaking still.
Initial impressions - I disagree that we were ever outplayed. They could take a lot more risks when they went 1 up and we always had to protect the back.
I thought it was crazy to leave George on and take off Dempsey. But I think it just about played out ok in the end.
We won't get many games like that because there aren't many teams in the league who will take the fight to us like Barnsley and leave the space in behind. It feels like we took a bit of time to remember how to play against that system, but once they worked out the right spaces and the right movement to use, everything clicked. From hopeless hoof ball in the first half, to beautiful diagonals in the second, with the right support on for the receiver. Great stuff.
Keep it going lads. Some big games coming up. This season is certainly exciting!

I think we'd probably have to go with shunting Jones to RWB, wouldn't we?

I agree. Feel like there were a few questionable decisions that Evatt made that all paid off today.Jeux sans frontiéres wrote: ↑Tue Mar 05, 2024 9:56 pmI thought it was crazy to leave George on and take off Dempsey. But I think it just about played out ok in the end.
