We weren't awful first half (and early second), but that last 15+8, you sorta wonder why we didn't start with some of that intensity...Great fightback, showed some real determination. Content overall, with a point.

If only we got a penalty every time an opposition keeper faked being injured… deffo some karma at work there.

If anyone who understand how can upload that gif of Santos cleaning Cosgrove—for posterity’s sake—it’d be much appreciated. Perhaps even worshipped.

Yesss….oh 😂
Quite the sight, must've had quite a bit of goading of our players for that to happen.

Iredale has to start next game. He’s been good coming on.
Agree - I like him in our system, he passes well and that helps with the overloads. Not sure who to drop, like...
I think we'd probably have to go with shunting Jones to RWB, wouldn't we?
It's definitely an option - and it keeps the vice-captain's calm head on the pitch. He knows the system as well as anyone – he helped invent it.

Knowing JDC he'll bounce back like a rubber ball. Knowing our injury luck he'll be out for a decade.
Assume CMG is still having his make up done, so you can chuck them in together.

Get. The. feck. In.

That last half hour the most direct I ever remember us being under Evatt, by some distance. I don't think it's plan A, but it feels like it's how you play to Bod and Jerome.

Mental game of football. Made it so hard for ourselves, but on balance you'd be disappointed not to have won, if it wasn't a 97th minute equaliser. Nuts.

Interesting (if perhaps a little too informative) tactical explanation.

Look at Thomo 30 seconds into this - dragging our celebrating players back to the centre because he wants to win the game. God I love that lad.
.
And yes, I love this man. He's not perfect but I hope he keeps getting nearer.

Surely the last 30 mins should be the blue print for the last 10 games - the attacking play, speed, tempo, intensity was excellent, the finishing needs to improve as we miss so many costly easy chances but when they play like that no one in the league would handle us, we ripped Barnsley to pieces, the problem is that we don't play like that most games and only ever play with intensity for 20-30 mins every game or when we go behind - take the shackles off the players and let them play like the last 30 mins yesterday.

The defence looked much better with Toal, Santos & Iredale - Toal is much better at RCB and Iredale adds a bit of steel & attitude and a left foot. I've said for a while that Jones is really poor at RCB but he is a very good RB or RWB, hopefully Evatt can finally see this and sticks to it moving forward.

I really hope that IE learns from last night and can now see that a Plan B really can work.

To say that that game and result could be pivotal is an understatement. If we had lost then I honestly believe automatic promotion would have been beyond us. But 8 mins of extra time and a rebound goal could now be the catalyst to galvanise the players and to give them the belief that they can actually do this.
Age and treachery will always overcome youth and skill!

And the key to a result is a good :kettle:

This. Right now it feels potentially pivotal. We have to make it so.

I came on to post this! Far be it from me too suggest that our "sprint off the pitch at half time" is stuff and nonsense showmanship, but the underlying thought has got into Tommo at least. Great to see.

For the xG fans out there (to contrast with the half time picture), they had it at 1.07 - 4.15 (albeit I suspect the penalty and rebound count for ~1.5 there).

If it hadn't been for the situation I think we'd be gutted not to have won that. Feels massive in terms of mood, belief etc.

They've now got to go to Pompey and get something etc...

To coin somebody else saying it first, "This feels more like a win than a win" .We weren't expected to get anything at Jokewell so a draw there is double delicious. An extra-time penalty and goal, who would believe it? This is entertainment. Play it again Ian.. :oyea: :oyea:

loved that. We absolutely battered them. unlucky not to win it. Unlucky not have been playing against 9 men for most of the 2nd half. Unlucky not to have had the opportunity to miss 3 penalties

I'm delighted for the players, but fvck me, they look disgruntled with the fans. Most heading down the tunnel at F.T before CamJem pulled them over. We've caused that with our incessant negativity and abuse of players and management.

One thing that was clear, is that Jerome and Bod CAN have an impact, but ONLY if we can play to their strengths. We did that last night
