Not only that buy there were plenty of exciting moments. Moments that would get Worthy's bum out of his seat

Exactly some of the comments earlier were around getting people something to get behind and they did that today. It's quality when we go for the jugular and hard not to be on the edge of the seat.sonicthewhite wrote: ↑Tue Mar 12, 2024 10:07 pmNot only that buy there were plenty of exciting moments. Nothing patient about today other than the state we left Oxford in.

All in all, a Zippedy Doo-Da night. Thought Bod was immense, Thomason and Sheehan ace and Coleman flawless. Magohma is like finding a diamond on Raikes Lane Tip. Well done all, team, subs and the Boss,

Note to Evatt: keep the Collins-JDB partnership intact please.

That was awesome. Ogbeta and Collins goals were beautiful in their construction. Won't see many better team goals anywhere. We so love teams who try to play football against us. They don't stand a chance.

Bodvarrsson was absolutely outstanding tonight. Covered absolutely every blade. There is a myth that he’s not a grafter but that was exposed tonight.
He and Collins look like they might be clicking.
Midfield was rolls Royce like and the wingbacks had absolute worldies. Stretched them and got behind them.
Hard to have seen that coming.
But I said this after Barnsley - we have to use that now. Take it into Saturday. If we can play anything like that we will beat Derby. The if will be the test.

Absolutely this. Just back from the game. Sublime performance. Shame Jerome didn't score but hey ho. Actually looking forward to us going toe to toe with Derby now.irie Cee Bee wrote: ↑Tue Mar 12, 2024 10:32 pmThat was awesome. Ogbeta and Collins goals were beautiful in their construction. Still stood up and only the odd one or two tsks. Clearly a different mindset than Saturday, for me, when despite the well in top first half post match comments, we looked ponderous. We play like that for the next 8, we might still not make the autos, but we'll give ourselves a proper chance. That wasn't "it just fell for us, tonight" we made it happen. So no more sob. Thank you Whites.

Seen on Twitter that we'd scored 100+ goals this season (101 to be exact).
We scored 120 in 1996/97. We've got 8 games left to get 19 goals to match that number. Certainly do-able.

Each game will seem harder as they go now, because I doubt scoring five will happen too often. Don't be drawn too far forward because there are some pacey players in this league, but if we play with composure, we're as good as they come. Two goals in front and defending well, and we'll be fine. Tough at the top was never truer. A good night to be a White..irie Cee Bee wrote: ↑Tue Mar 12, 2024 10:32 pmThat was awesome. Negatives: terrible poll, and Jerome not getting the goal his performances have deserved.
Positives: everything else, including seeing a usual suspect from on here at the pub.
Can't split Sheehan and the front two for motm.
Please please kick on from here!

Well that were lovely weren't it.
That Collins goal was a real beauty. Wonderful, stylish football, movement, end product. The lot. Loved it. I was in awe of some of that football in the 2nd half. We hunted them and never let them have a sniff.
Man of the Match: Probably Sheehan, but there were some marvellous performances all over the pitch
The best bit was the look of bewildering disappointment on 2 of the blokes who sit behind me who just absolutely hate any technical players. They didn't even celebrate the goals.

A little historical note: barring friendlies, I think that's the first time Evatt has ever substituted Rico during play. He's been subbed at half-time before, but I don't think his number's even gone up before.

Four days of fan happiness (possibly five?), first time for a while. A good feeling, keep it running...

Wondering something along those lines - felt really odd to see him coming off like that!Dave Sutton's barnet wrote: ↑Wed Mar 13, 2024 10:16 amA little historical note: barring friendlies, I think that's the first time Evatt has ever substituted Rico during play. Preumably (hopefully?) just to give him a bit of a rest and an opportunity to get Iredale on rather than any niggling injury.....

A niggle is one potential reason. But it could also be to give Toal another go in the middle; to give minutes to Iredale, arguably unlucky to be rotated out; and purely to let the skipper take the applause of the fans. Notable that he had been geeing them up after his dart forward.dave the minion wrote: ↑Wed Mar 13, 2024 10:30 amWondering something along those lines - felt really odd to see him coming off like that!Dave Sutton's barnet wrote: ↑Wed Mar 13, 2024 10:16 amA little historical note: barring friendlies, I think that's the first time Evatt has ever substituted Rico during play. Santos looked exhausted. Hoping it was just that. I think he’s carrying something as he’s not really looked himself since coming back and whilst he was outstanding last night I still felt he was more tired than you’d normally expect.
One to be slightly worried about is Bod who was complaining of some leg issue with the bench….hopefully just tightness….
