Let Jerome take it surely? He earned it
Suspect we know who the penalty takers are by now, and Jerome's the one to help others. Doesn't seem like either would be likely to play out.

Caleb Taylor and Williams coming on. Appearance bonuses anyone?

We're now top scorers in the division and have officially qualified for the playoffs.

Not a great showing, but good teams win while not playing well. Certainly felt that way today. It'll not go down as a classic, but its certainly good to see us getting the points.

There was one player sat down arms folded as everyone was up shaking hands, not sure who he is. Evatt goes to shake his hand, he gets up and bangs his head on the metal bar.

According to the stats JDB apparently wasn't fouled all game.

Baxter = clean sheet away. 2 saves of note in that second half kept us in it. We also conceded possession to Bristol and came out 2 nil victors. It's a strange old game.

Great 3 points - at this stage of the season its about results not performances.

Baxter excellent.

We did it.... just about. Better 2nd half despite being under the Cosh for most of it. Found a way to win so signs of a good team. Baxter kept us in it when the going got tough. Easily Man of the Match for me. A timely return, not taking anything away from Coleman.. but class is class.

Next week feels like the defining week. They're coming to ours as Champions elect, we need 3 points. No time to hide the "A" game under a Bush.

Probably a good job. I'm a positive man, but our football is less than appealing right now. Bristol's football was attractive at times although walloping it down the left seemed to be a game plan, but fair do's they played well, better than us actually. They are a rough fouling team it must be admitted, and the ref was totally clueless. Three away points though, so well done. :oyea:

Cameron Jerome might just go down in Bolton folklore! What a cameo.

Not much to say about the game other than we didn’t play particularly well. But also didnt particularly look like we wouldn’t win, once we got ahead.

Lovely finish by the Collins.

Don’t remember a chipped finish in a league game for a long while. Confidence and poise, that. Proving himself to be a lethal finisher. Interesting to see what line-up he goes with once Charles is back. Collins’ general play and physicality isn’t there, but he’s looking so effective where it matters.

I suspect Dion maybe on the bench next week, which probably means he’ll come on for Collins - but I’d expect AC/DC to start the midweek fixture and be our default starters from then.
