Breaking pots... Home v Port Vale Sat 20th Apr. 3-0'Clock.

Where fellow sufferers gather to share the pain, longing and unrequited transfer requests that make being a Wanderer what it is...

Defending like we attacked in the 1st half. Jesus.
We really don't look like we want it.

The bar is hit from 10 yards out by Randell Williams.

I give up, I really do.

Made hard work of that again but got over the line in the end.

Looks like we might get Barnsley in the playoffs as they are dropping quicker than the titanic. Deep joy.

Derby win, but for a dodgy bit of keeping Mars would've been spot on.

Bit of a microcosm if the season. Should have been 5 but a decent showing...

Dunno what I'd do next week tbh...don't like surrendering whilst there's hope...

Also looking like a straight shootout for 3rd next week.

Glad we scored in the second half as the mood would've been rank all week. It makes me laugh that people on twitter actually said he's not very good, or words to that effect.

It's the first one that matters, plus 20 of them shots weren't on target. We've had 71 shots over 3 games and scored 5. To be fair, that's a piss poor return as two games have been draws.

In a nut shell (and we've been using a sledge hammer to crack one): D.J.B's 7-0 prediction could have come true if we could just shoot. Maghoma is a star, but a shot or two on the deck would help the curlers.. Charles can't buy a goal. He scored 7. yes, but how many has he missed (and I like him). Credit to P.V for an ale-house display of time-wasting and fouling ( with a few bits of tidy football in between. If they'd played like that all season they surely wouldn't be where they are. Last but not least, Baxter saved us twice and was a rock.

A win and three points that at any other time in the season would have me beaming. If only...

It’s good we won. Collins is outstanding. As is Maghoma. The concern is that we need so much to score a goal. Our second goal we stood a simple ball up to the far post and it’s a goal. We need more of that. Too often we opt for the pull back and that’s ok sometimes but we overdo it.

Its a lovely on the eye performance but I still think a lot of our issues with an ability to score in these games is systemic. We try and score a goal in one way too much. And we lack those players who can just hit it. Collins is one. But midfield too often we are trying to do something like curl one into the far post instead of just hitting it. A lot of the things we do are what I’d say low percentage.

Taylor had a decent game till he tired. Williams was decent enough and Jones was absolutely excellent.

Charles looked a little more back to himself and Collins is just a superstar.

Play offs loom. Still could play any of four.
