Didn't hear that level of focus on the offside call but may be wrong.HMX wrote: ↑Fri May 03, 2024 8:00 pmOur player seemed onside in a few replays but they have to keep revisiting and asking if it was. Dunno. Not saying there an agenda or anything. I just have flashbacks of Lee Hendrie talking shite every time we’re playing on Sky.
Maybe they’re just more excited about the underdogs chances against us! Drama and all that.
Decent effort from Maghoma.
Jones looking nervous here especially in his delivery. Don't think he's managed to put a decent ball forward as of yet.

For me we still don’t look like us at all. It’s like we are trying to just spoil the game at times, long balls.
We are winning but I do think if we could get it together we can score goals here.

Yeah, the performance isn't quite there but honestly I'm not bothered.BWFC_Insane wrote: ↑Fri May 03, 2024 8:05 pmFor me we still don’t look like us at all. It’s like we are trying to just spoil the game at times, long balls.

One moment it worked our and we're ahead.

Thought you wanted us to do less tippy tippy and be more direct...BWFC_Insane wrote: ↑Fri May 03, 2024 8:05 pmFor me we still don’t look like us at all. It’s like we are trying to just spoil the game at times, long balls.

Feel like this is a bit of a mish mash of both.

Sheehan is not having a good night so far. He isn’t in good form.

I wouldn’t call this direct….Mar wrote: ↑Fri May 03, 2024 8:07 pmThought you wanted us to do less tippy tippy and be more direct...BWFC_Insane wrote: ↑Fri May 03, 2024 8:05 pmFor me we still don’t look like us at all. It’s like we are trying to just spoil the game at times, long balls.

Can't say the beer is helping the nerves.
Wasn't too bothered pre match but now being 1 up it's torture.
Our goal is absolutely superb. Need another before I down 3 more.

You're right that this is the kind of style that some critics have been asking for. I don't particularly enjoy it, but each to their own.
Maghoma is looking disinterested in winning balls for us. Sheehan missing. The midfield is being held together by George.

I don’t think this is what anyone asked for. When we break we look good which is encouraging. But we are panicking too often. It’s not what I’d call a controlled performance yet.Jeux sans frontiéres wrote: ↑Fri May 03, 2024 8:14 pmYou're right that this is the kind of style that some critics have been asking for. Agree on midfield. Someone else other than Thomason needs to turn up.

1 shot on target 1 goal. Can't complain with them stats.
Really need to relax as there is space to exploit.

I don’t think it’s anything other than nerves. Hoped the goal would settle us down - other than Connell and Kane this lot are crap. Be very disappointed if we can’t go back with a win here - but we’ve not deserved it yet. Some of the balls forward have been poor; but that move for the goal was superb! Has to be nerves on our part - but this lot are there for the taking if we can get our act together.

I think it's similar to what people have been asking for. Bit of pace on the counter and the occasional long ball to mix it up.Jeux sans frontiéres wrote: ↑Fri May 03, 2024 8:14 pmYou're right that this is the kind of style that some critics have been asking for. We conceded last time against Barnsley playing out from the back and then Thomason getting caught so maybe we're looking to avoid a repeat of that.
Working so far.

We’ve also got a couple on yellow cards with a ref who’s looking like he won’t show any common sense - Maghoma might be best saved for the home game rather than risk a red.

Well we can’t really play much worse than that in the second half, and we’re somehow winning.
Also, an encouraging number of Bolton fans in the pub at London Bridge.

I'm on me 10th...I'm pretty calm!
Good first half from us. Limited their opportunities, took ours. Not stood off the physical. Great goal. Bit more passing and a chunk less hoof. All good!

Who was booked at the end? I thought it was Collins but Thomason seems to be the one reported?
