Moving on: Forward March.
Although it's almost June.. Time to put thoughts of Wembley and what might have been in the shredder and become the mighty Whites again. We weren't a million miles away, just two goals and a Blackadder quality cunning plot. Sulk ye not, and let's look forward. Let's start as we mean to go on and get so far ahead we can't be caught...Let's go.

Sorry TD but with respect anyone thinking that Saturday can just be swept under the carpet and forgotten is deluded. Saturday was damaging and should Evatt stay and we are not in the top 6 after 10 games, the fans will turn and it will become toxic very quickly.
Please do not under estimate the damage Saturday had on the relationship between the Manager, Players and the fans.

Underestimate what exactly Bertie ? : A bad day, a wrong solution and out with the pitchfork patrol? Nah, they still have a set of stocks in Kearsley, but like Saturday, they belong in history. We need attitude and the will to get up and fight back, not a blame and shame revolution. "Page and Monarch forth they went, forth they went; forth they went together, through the rude wind's wild lament, and the bitter weather." ....(Right now, if the poll here is anything to go by, the fans aren't exactly building the guillotine just yet. Like old Wenceslas, Forth we shall go together...Bertie Wooster wrote: ↑Tue May 21, 2024 9:58 amSorry TD but with respect anyone thinking that Saturday can just be swept under the carpet and forgotten is deluded. It’s not one game though. It’s two full seasons.
He’s had ample time to change - the failures and weaknesses have been pointed out ad nauseum in that time.
Why should anyone believe there is anything to suggest he’s going to change now all of a sudden? I don’t believe he knows how even if he was willing.
He needs to go and manage at different lower league clubs for a decade to learn the game and learn management. This job is too big for him at this stage.

We are truly back in the realm of "Rose Tinters" (and Doom Mongers)....
But if TD can point me to where that set of stocks is in Kearsley, we might be able to put them to good use.

T.D. can. My daughter lives in Ringley/Kearsley and I've seen them a few times off the bridge over the Irwell. https://openplaques.org/plaques/40049Worthy4England wrote: ↑Tue May 21, 2024 10:39 amWe are truly back in the realm of "Rose Tinters" (and Doom Mongers)....

<--- Makes a mental note - I don't suppose you spotted if there was a barn nearby that might contain farm implements?TANGODANCER wrote: ↑Tue May 21, 2024 11:47 amT.D. can.
