Sorry to say, I have zero trust in Evatt and Markham data driven transfer decision-making. Their success rate which I calculate to be 20% over the last couple windows have been well below reasonable expectations. I would not give them another pound to spend

Sadly I'm not quite sure what he's on about in this quote about making another signing from abroad, a la Szabi Schön:

Also says everyone's got a stake in transfers.

If that means player trading, selling players, buying them, we have to make sure we get it right and there is a lot of work going on at the moment to make sure that happens. Everyone has to be comfortable with what we are doing. We have to safeguard ourselves and that all the key stakeholders in the fortunes of the football department are doing all they can to make the right decisions for this football club, and that is how it will be from now on.”

I suspect the first part is around the "non-elite" players bit - can only sign 2, and the elite ones are more expensive?

I’m not overly sure how I want this window to go. I’m resigned to the fact Evatt isn’t going anywhere for a while. I think we do need to strengthen, but I’m not overly keen on the idea on Evatt spaffing more of our precious cash at another window.
