Is there no chance of Diouffy winning it?

He'd get my vote.

Yeah I'm sure Tannie Grey-Thompson thinks she's privileged.
It seems that she does indeed feel privileged, Commie... from her own lips:
Trustee and Athlete, Dame Tanni Grey Thompson DBE, said, “I feel very privileged
to be able to give something back to volunteering. Volunteers have helped me
throughout my career and without them I wouldn’t have been able to achieve my
success. I had four coaches and three of them were volunteers. They even trained
me on Christmas Day!’
(And as we're so keen to recognise her achievements, that's Dame Tanni Grey-Thompson - without the "e" and with the "Dame" )

Tanni has a daughter called "Carys" - so do I - (unfortunately Michael Douglas and his strumpet jumped on the bandwagon! - now it's getting common as muck.. bugger!!)
[/quote]

Yeeeeeeees not quite the privileged position to which reference was made by Bench really is it?? Huh?

Indeed!! well done - you've finally got it! (My armchair is often classed as "other-space" - a separate dimension in time and space. Entering it brings a sense of the ethereal...)

(But in case others are confused: like the word "personality" - the dual meaning of which Commie pointed out earlier in the thread - the word "soul" also has multiple meanings, amongst which is the meaning "person". It can also mean "spirit", "a type of music" and "deep feelings".)

Really struggling to concentrate on your post due to your avatar!!! :P
Another one falls for the charms of my avatar. Thats said if I stare at commies new "red" one
to long it starts to hurt.

I noticed an L. Molyneux was playing for Everton reserves last night. I wondered if our Lindsey had hung up her bedpan.

She can have spastic legs as long as she wears that basque-stocking combo if I ever meet her

..... Anyways......

Back to sportspeople....

I'm going for Phil the Power Taylor..... As an amateur arrows thrower, who can spend up to 45 mins on double 1, I admire his total domination of the darting world.

like snooker?

I'll repeat what I said before... shooting, archery etc.

all target sports not requiring huge athleticism but skill and lots of practice.

True enough it can take place in the pub, and most other sports, like swimming can't. However, there is still skill and sums involved which makes it trickier than say archery....

Although the drink does put you off a bit... I hit one of the Xmas decorations on the wall instead of the board the other night :o

Plus it's one of the few sports that British folk are better than anyone else in the world....
