What an unbelievably incompetent display of batting. How on Earth can you amass over 550 runs (and declare at six for) in your first innings and then collapse in a heap as England did?

I wonder what the bookies are offering for the next three tests?

I could hardly bring myself to read the newspaper this morning even though I'd steeled myself for the comments which were pretty much inevitable. I haven't been so embarrassed since I tried to do the bridal waltz at my wedding and, believe you me, that's saying something. (Sorry, TANGO, but some of us do have two left feet).

Mods lock this thread. It's even more depressing than the Wanderers run of form.

Good to see Panesar is proving why he shouldn't have played the first 2 test with a fifer on a none turning wicket

Aussie Lead of over 400 Almostly certainly over now.
My only hope is that the Aussies will declare soon - I predict they will before close of play today - to give a good chance of getting us out, and we may just get the runs required. It they leave it too late, who could hold on for a draw.
I'm clutching at straws, aren't I.
