Destined for greater things or at his level?

The more I see of him, the more I expect him to join one of the top teams this summer.

frightened the life out of our back four, quick, strong and always threaten with a finish at the end of his hard work

Roeder may keep him another year - a full strength toon XI should be a top 6 club for me and they'll need Martins to do so. But maybe next season he'll have a Drogba-esque season and score much more freely. then he'll get picked up

Should they ever get Owen back fit and in form they would have one scary front line! Their only problem is the fact that they also have one scary back line!

IMO Martins has been far better than Drogba was in his first season. Plus, just over a third of the price.

Lol.

I've always rated him, I first saw him for Inter Milan when he ripped Arsenal apart in the Champs league.

Martins, for me, is a bit like Henri Camara - a strong quick player who can sometimes look like a worldbeater, but also well capable of spells during which he can't hit a barn door.

At his level.

Looks good too me.

Maybe they can convert him into a tricky left back?

Well he played for Inter Milan - so Toon is a big step down
