I go in the shower and we lose 4 wickets for 10 runs?!?!?! :|

Flintoff needs dropping down to number 8 or 9, a world class bowler who can bat a bit.

Our only hope is that Jimmy can get the ball swinging from the off.

Flintoff has done nothing with the bat all World Cup, but it's Michael Vaughan who's been the big let down. He's done absolutely nothing at all, a mere 17 runs today. Still, it's his best score of the tournament I think.

Nah did Vaughan get 40 odd against one of the minnows. That might have been Freddie.

Still, we have to rely on the South Africans habit of choking under pressure, and spin.

The batting has been woeful though. I suppose this is what you get when you have to carry batsmen. Eventually the ones who have done alright, Pietersen, Bell, Nixon, will have an off day and you're bollocksed. Only really Bopara has come out of it with any credit, for a nice effort at the end with Panesar.

disgrace, we haven't turned up to the world cup at all. been quite hard to get excited about it all. we can only hope brave decisions are taken regarding selection and perhaps the coach

would love to know why we batted first on what's very much a bowlers pitch, though we're failing miserably to do it justice

After six overs SA were 54/0, England 7/0. Risible, got my money on Sri Lanka anyway :).

It's a terribly disappointing outcome. It does though vindicate my decision for not including a single Englishman in my 'fantasy' cricket team. Mind you, the rest of my team selections haven't performed all that well. Such is life.

Except in this world cup it takes a few months for the English ineptness to finally result in elimination.
