Snooker World Final

Post by Verbal » Mon May 07, 2007 6:26 pm

From 12-4 behind, Selby has made a cracking comeback to make it 12-10 going into the last session.

Predictions, anyone?
"Young people, nowadays, imagine money is everything."

"Yes, and when they grow older they know it."

Well Selby has completely taken the last session. We'll have to see who comes out of the blocks best in the next session. Prediction: I think Higgins will pick up a bit more, and take it at the line.
Stay up

That was shite. Those two made Peter Ebdon look like Ronnie O'Sullivan on speed.

If you don't watch snooker I'll translate. That final was the slowest match I've ever seen, well boring like. I stopped watching for about an hour or so, switched it back on after and they were still on the same frame!

Absolute nonsense - some of that was brilliant stuff.

My pick was Higgins days ago because he's just had something about him this tournament. Really impressed with Selby though too.

Was a brilliant final some of Selby's shots where amazing, and the frame I'm guessing Epitaph was referring to as shite, 30mins to pot the yellow was a great tactical frame!!

I don't mind frames like that, but when they're taking three fecking minutes per shot, standing around doing nothing, it gets boring.

Also, they were stopping if someone coughed! Then they'd stop again to chalk up, have a cup of tea and whatever they were doing.

Ronnie O'Sullivan plays even when the crowd is clapping away, we need more people like him in the game.

I love it how you get little-known players appearing in finals now, much better than when Hendry used to win everything. I prefer safety frames to "147 in 5 minutes" frames aswell.
